Raised a question in my mind would you class the Streetfighters as supers?

They do tend to shoot fire from their hands and teleport at will.

Ryu and Ken are at Iron Fist level in my opinion.
M. Bison is kinda hard for me to place as I don't know the full depth of his "Psycho Power".
I stopped caring about Guile and most of the other characters when I saw that lame live action movie.

I think many of the series' characters could be somewhat effective themed builds, such as Blanka (Bestial Supernatural+sparkstorm with R.A.D. Sphere as his travel power).

True dat ..suppose ima missing the obvious with the Marvel vs Capcom games most of the new generation of super heroes are video game ones.

Considering just about every character can break a car into pieces with their bare hands, and some of the characters are capable of a show of force that can be seen from orbit they're almost definitely supers.

Shoot, that might be a case of cutscene power to the max there, but some of the stuff Oni is actually capable of in a fight is almost as absurd. According to his lore, Oni/Akuma's supers and some of his ultras actually take his opponent to hell, of all things.

It gets even more crazy when you realize that Gouken is supposedly almost as powerful as him, and he's completely a natural "Hero." At least as natural as you can get with Chi fireballs, but y'know what I mean.

Yeah, Shin Akuma (Gouki) sunk an island, and Ryu hadou ken'd a mountain. Guile sonic boom'd a house in half on a quick-draw-turn-around-can't-see-what-I'm-aiming-at shot and chun-li and ryu can dodge bullets without a spider sense. Bat-man's the man and all, but I want to see him dodge or get up after a fist that can punch through a car engine traveling faster than the eye can see from a properly trained martial artist who's spent his entire life mastering and perfecting fighting against the top fighters in the world, most of which are capable of leveling a military compound and the determination to never stop fighting until it kills them FOR FUN AND PROFIT.

Sagat is Bane if Bane could control his life energy to throw fire, read every move you're going to make, travel 10 feet with a rising knee in .5 seconds and had spent his life calcifying his bones to be harder than tempered steel.

I think "super" is fair.
