I've started a few Regen characters over the past few weeks and I end up putting them down for something else.
I decided to start one this weekend and I'm looking for some tips on a good power set to compliment it. Theme is important and I would prefer a melee class (not that into range as a primary way to attack but it's ok if there are a few ranged powers). I also don't want Bestial as I have a Beast/Defiant toon already. Thanks for any suggestions!

A Dual Blades toon can be amazing with Regen.
Form of the Tempest gives a sufficient damage boost to offset the loss to a defensive passive.
Dragon's Wrath R3 for single target damage and the Rush buff.
Sword Cyclone R3 for offensive AoE damage output.
Eye of the Storm R2 with Blade Beyond the Veil for added defense to allow regen to catch up with incoming damage.
Energy Shield with Laser Knight for additional defense.
Inexorable Tides for an aoe knock-up to disrupt foes' damage
Void Shift with Emerging Nightmares for an aoe fear to reduce foes' damage output.
Masterful Dodge

Also thanks for the Infernal/Might suggestion, I'm actually working on one now but using Pestilence as the passive. I think I'm going to dump some of the chain attacks in favor of might attacks like haymaker.

An interesting option for Dex/Con might be to add Burning Chi fist and Spirit Reverb. The DoT proc on BCF triggers the reverb which scales on Con.

Whats with this Regen builds? Is Regen FoTM now?!?
If you are melee, you want lunge. If you have that, then MSA is very good for energy management. So INT. It also leaves primary defense slot free. For more CON/PRE or dodge gear.
EoTS for extra damage shield.
Laser knight or monk. Depending on if you want more resist or more dodge.
Take IDF. Helps a lot vs henchman.
Bubble is nice.
For active defense on Regen build I prefer Unbreakable or Master Dodge.

Dodging won't be amazing, but you can negate most charge attacks- plus if you do block, Parry's reflection will give you some luls as you'll give back way more than they did to you.
Unless this is for PvP, then ‾\0_o/‾ cause MMO PvP is a joke.

Ok I'm back for more advice. My regen toon (which I made last week) is in his 30s now and I've been able to tackle some elite AAs and TT and Burial Chamber. I'm largely happy with him, but I want to run it by you all and get some feed back. The current build was retconned at 14 that's why some of the skills are in an odd order.
His concept is a Nanotech Grey Goo turned super hero, so there are some obvious power choices going towards theme. Let me know if I'm way off on any of them.
Also, for main attack powers I only have EoTS and DW. Am I really gimping myself by not having better AoE or a harder hitting single target move? I don't really like sword cyclone's animation so I dropped it and have just been using my two main attacks. It takes me longer to kill things but so far it hasdn't been a problem.
My other question is his self heal: I have BCS/RR but should I go for biotic shielding or conviction instead or should I go for another active defense and get resurgence? I'm not a huge fan of BCS so I wouldn't mind another viable alternative.
