Default champions page doesn't work for me. So much for that, then!
Note: 1st pages are full; check the link at the bottom of the 2nd post for more heroes!

So this is a thread that will be filled with tons of character cards, which show the base design of a character, a ridiculous picture, and also a blurb from me on what the heck they are. So, starting from the beginning:

Chisoku - The original superhero of Roosevelt City, Chisoku was captured by a local cyborg crime syndicate, the Ayus Clan, and operated on to become one of their recon-sleeper agent bots. Before the operation could be completed, head neuroscientist Tom Barsad double-crossed the syndicate and let Chisoku free, allowing him to escape with his mind intact. Now with a cybernetic body and a super-reflex-enhancing brain serum, he can move much faster and strike much harder than normal human beings.

Lady Anubis - Usually an Anthropology graduate student at Roosevelt University, she was cursed with shapeshifting powers from glyphs within the tomb of Inpuses III, A pharaoh who lead a sect which worshiped Anubis. Having set up the 'curse' to aid in his own revival, Inpuses had Lady Anubis hone her power and absorb energy from other living beings under his instruction until she became strong enough to be able to reunite Inpuses' soul with his mummified body. Though this task has long been finished, the revived pharaoh has allowed her to keep the avatar's powers, trusting she'll use them for good. Her abilities enable her to tap into forces of the 'afterlife' to summon otherworldly shadows and energies, augmenting her already robust stature.

Inspector Steel - Inspector Steel started out as a pioneering test of a 'cyber-baby', where scientists took a quick-learning computer and taught it many techniques. Through various books and media, the computer grew to like concepts of Law and Order, and eventually felt that the city would need his help. Downloading his software to a mobile drone to transfer himself to a more suitable body, he eventually happened upon the humanoid robot body he uses today; a towering mechanoid armed with a gun-arm, tactical scanner, and a heaping dose of bulldozer-level strength.

Screamin' Eagle - An overzealous, trigger-happy, paranoid hero. Receiving a call to come to Millennium City at the behest of a person who called himself "Spy", he felt necessity for preparation and had a close friend of his, Dr. Conagher, build a protective rocket-armor for him, granting him a variety of embedded machine guns and a deadly rocket-launcher attachment.

Tri-Emerald - Being born with a third eye lead her through a very unfortunate childhood, culminating in the destruction of her high school, abandonment by her family, and her best friend, a fellow psychic, turning on her in outright assault. She was left to wander the streets of Roosevelt City for 2 years until Bluhman and Chisoku found her and allowed her to join the Alpha Force. As a psionic-empath, she can use her abilities to throw telekinetic projectiles and empathic healing energies.

Michael Sanders - Considered by most normal people to be a super-deadly villain, it wasn't until recent years and intervention by Witchcraft that Sanders was able to get a grip on himself to become a hero. Having lived in poverty, he was killed in a shootout to protect his family, and was revived by the 'Prince of Corpses' to help serve in his undead army with his unquenchable wrath and superior strength. When he was lead to remember his family, however, he remembered why he was angry in the first place, and found that he had little reason to be so enraged anymore.

Bluhman - Chisoku's employer and head of the Alpha Force, Bluhman usually doesn't see much action on the scene anymore, but years of experience as a freelance Agent have given him intuition about many criminal syndicates and secured him a solid career in maintaining order in Roosevelt City. Even at his old age, he still is a sharp-shot with a pistol.

Dr. Voltsz - Originally the head of a 1960's-70's supergroup, "E-team", based in Europe. She was a pioneer of the 'Voltaic Armor', originally used by Icelandic Hero "Deadbolt" who died when his own cape was set ablaze by electric discharge. Since the recent resurgence of crime in Roosevelt City, she's decided to use her own modified design of the Voltaic Armor to take to the frontlines, and has taken considerable effort to try and get the E-Team up and running again.

Idaten - The sole remaining survivor of the Ikazuchi clan of Okinawa; the island his headquarters was based on was razed and overtaken by Argent for a salt-mining station. Not surprisingly, Idaten now has some clout with Argent and will use every last blade and shuriken he's got to get back at them and stop their operations.

Quarterlife - One of the more controversial figures in Roosevelt City, Quarterlife was a girl who was lost in a plane crash in Burning Sands. She was the only survivor from the ordeal, and had somehow managed to gain intense radioactive-based powers from the incident, causing her to explode in a disastrous blast periodically. To contain the blast, she was locked beneath Roosevelt City by the mayor, stuck inside a power-harnessing room to make use of her explosive powers. When she managed to escape, she taught herself to control her explosive power more carefully, and now wishes to show the world just what she can do for them.

Avalon - Close friend of Dr. Voltsz and English member of the E-Team, Avalon obtained his powers from eating an enchanted apple from the lost tomb of Merlin, giving him prophetic powers and insights to the ways of sorcery. He is quite a bit older than he puts himself out to be; he now usually wears a hairpiece when he's in costume.

Barbara Blaster - A young solar-powered mutant hero from Santa Barbara. With plenty of opportunities to get sun, she's spent most of her years slowly gathering up energy until she finally discovered her ability in college. She's been using her powers to keep the streets clean and help prevent natural disasters ever since.

Scout - French-based hero, and direct descendant to the Original Scout, she shows desire to carry on her mother's legacy as the Scout, but feels little to no relation to the rest of the older members of the 'E-Team'. Unlike the elder Scout, who used chiefly the bow, this Scout prefers to mix in a bit of machine guns and grenades now and again.

N - He goes by many names. He is seen everywhere, and can be any number of shapes. Many say that they have not seen this man's face, but many d̕o͢n̶'̧t͜͝ ͟͡͠r̨̀eal̸i͟z̕e̴ ҉that ̸h͜e̴ d҉҉̴҉̭̺̳͍͡ó̵̺̝̟̪̤̀é̶̡̧̙̝̱̯̩̤̣͉̜̤̫̖̞̬̤̹̥͠ş͕̞̻̤̫̥ ̞̻n̛̺̘̫̰͝͡'̨̡͕̝͖̫̫͙͡t̴̡̨͖̝̭̬̠̪̖̦͇̘̰̯͕͖ ̴̢̢̩͇͉̱̗́ẹ̡͚̯̱͍̯̫͉͍̘̯̦̯͎͡͞͠ͅv̫͈̩̘̯̻͍͓͡͡͞ͅe̴̷̸̢̼͕̣ ̫̲͓͇̗̤n̷̬̞̞̞̙͖̬̯͚̣͟ ̴̸̵̢̼̯̣͈͈̘̼̝͖̥͈̩͚̜̰͘ͅh̸̷̢͔̫̻̼͜a̧̛̹͚̦̝̭͇͕̪̦̳̜̕͜͞ͅv̰̠̞̹͜͢͝e̵͙͈͉̝͕͖̠̤̤͝͝ͅͅ ̛͙͙̳̼̕ờ̧̢̙̭̟̣͉̀n̷̵̢̦̤̣͇̦͖̺̹̠̖̞͚͈͢͠e̵҉̵̵̡͖̲̲͉͉̣͖̬ ̜̯̘̹̰̰̬͈̮̘.̸̗̹̼͚̻̪͕̱͓̳̜̘̜͢͟͞

Mike Piston - Nobody knows where this magnificent machine came from, but early on in his career, he was legitimately mistaken for a human being and allowed to contend in the Millenium City Major Circuit. When people found out he was constantly winning via K.O. and lobotimizing his opponents with blunt force, suspicions began to mount until a hired assassin attempted to go after the Piston, and managed to barely escape with his life when Piston woke up to fire missiles from his right shoulder. Needless to say, he was disqualified from the Major Circuit, but was gladly invited to contend in the B.A.S.H. tournaments.

Flame-Stag - A lost boy who was mysteriously imbued with flame powers, Flame Stag was found abandoned in the snow-drifts of Canada by Bigfeet, and was raised as one of their own. His natural fire gave him enough willpower to become a warrior among a people much larger than himself, and he soon became a war hero among the Chiyetah tribe. Flame-Stag was brought back to human civilization however when he attempted to fight Kigatilik single-handedly and expectedly lost. Now among humans, he's working to learn their ways and hone his skills until he is powerful enough to face the ice demon again.

Copper Hawk - Currently the Sidekick to Screamin' Eagle, Copper Hawk was rescued by him at a very early age, and had devoted her life to becoming a powered-armor engineer ever since. The culmination of her work was the Hawk Armor, which generates highly-powerful gusts of wind with its wings and enables the user to fly if they have a source of jet propulsion.

The Gourmand - Childhood friend of Avalon, the Gourmand is another member of the 'E-Team'. His immense weight and size, a trait he gained from mutation, is further increased by eating quantities of expensive foodstuffs. A single teaspoon of saffron can keep the Gourmand well-fed for 3 days, compared to 60 pounds of hamburger keeping him satiated for an hour.

Archon - When a strange comet fell from space, it spread a mist of glowing dust across regions of the sky, which eventually settled in areas over Wisconsin. Scientists went to test the glowing dust for various properties, and found that it had very unusual effects on organisms. One scientist found this out firsthand, and became the Archon. As it turned out, the dust was a sort of extraterrestrial hive-minded being, which uses the sentience of other beings to imbue the affected with both vast cosmic knowledge and powers.

Ray Tracie - A new applicant to the University of Detroit, her first day she got lost in Millenium City and ended up at Harmon Labs. A lab assistant's friendly attempt to teleport her to the university ended up bringing her to Multifaria, inadvertently aging her 10 years and turning her into a high-tech hacker and commander of computer systems!

Mark Marotte - An overly-dramatic bounty hunter who found himself the butt of pretty much every joke. For being a self-proclaimed ladies-man who always carries around a rose in his pocket and a pair of golden pistols, he's somehow managed to mess up royally by attempting to reconcile with his father, who just to happened to be employed by DEMON. Naturally, his father hates him for becoming some foppy, wandering, rose-chomping bounty hunter so he decided to turn him into a puppet.

Star Soldier - Originally a indebeted man stuck working at a diner in the middle of nowhere, Star Soldier was abducted by the Chrjuse, who's sole agenda is preparing various sentient species all about the galaxy for something by training a member of each species to be a star soldier; a specialized cyborg being imbued both with high-tech weaponry and stardust-based energy powers. Many are intended to be the sole-saviors of their planets and civilizations. In that respect, this Star Soldier is really underperforming.

Megadrive - A specialized robot-suit built for a child genius pilot. The pilot has a very unusual mental affliction, where his brain works most efficiently when multitasking on many involved tasks. With reflex times and an IQ well above average, he's well suited to pilot this advanced machine. The interface is so suitably advanced, it requires that the pilot also uses manual levers and buttons with the feet, in addition to dual-keypads and weapon-system levers for each arm.

Mad Reid Jake - Yes, this guy's a man. A fairly-famous rock star with an uncanny vocal range, to be precise. His career suddenly stopped when he was abducted by the Kings of Edom, however. As it turned out, his great grandfather had widowed a member of DEMON, and as payback, his great grandson would have to be grievously tortured and held captive until he was suitable to become an avatar. Rituals and rituals later, Reid was covered in scars all across his chest, and pretty much impervious to normal pain. Luck would have it that the attempt to usurp the crown of edom by Luther Black would enable Reid to escape back to the normal world so that he may perform once again! Or go off on a quest to keep the Kings of Edom and DEMON from messing up anyone elses' lives, one of the two.

Carmilla VI - Name would lead people to believe that she's the sixth descendant of Carmilla, a fairly classic vampire. Nobody knows how exactly to confirm this lineage, but she's clearly a pretty powerful vampire, capable of using a blade and sprouting giant wings to fly. She's actually pretty okay with humans, except when they expect her to sparkle, in which case she has no reservations on feeding on their assuming carcasses.

Impasto (alt) - A pair of painters, one superstitious, the other frugal, go to the market to buy new brushes. A well-dressed man offers to sell the pair a 'magical paintbrush' for only two bits. The superstitious painter warns his frugal friend, but he readily agrees. After all, who knows what kind of magic it is? Returning home, the pair uses their newly bought brushes to finish painting their latest work, with the frugal painter quickly completing his part of the picture with his new brush. That is, until he accidentally drops the brush into a bucket of paint. At this point, the paint of the bucket springs to live, and proceeds to jump from pail to pail until it's a technicolor mass of paint. Eventually, the brush rises from the last bucket in a humanoid form wearing a cloak, and so Impasto was born! And the two painters were extremely confused as the paint-figure rushed out the door on a stream made of paint.

Dr. Montblanc - A recently graduated canadian PhD in Particle Physics and Radiology, Montblanc actually pretty much hacked and cheated his way through graduate school, instead spending most of his time hunting and becoming a skilled sharpshooter. He was soon hired by VIPER as a scientist working at Project Stein. When the base was infiltrated and Dr. Blank was taken down, he fled in the chaos, taking a spare Hazmat suit and particle rifle with him. With nowhere left to turn in academia, he decided to use the tools and advanced weaponry he had gathered to become a moralistic mercenary.

Apoplexy (alt) - A refugee from another dimension, her version of earth was taken over by dimensional overlords known as the Malfectors, who used their powers to not only mutate the humans of the dimension into pink, amorphous forms (seen on the right of this card), but to also shift the very physics and flow of time of the dimension, with each day lasting an uncertain time, the climate thrown wildly out of control, and the various Malfector masters warring over control of Earth, using the transformed humans and their shapeshifting abilities to create weapons. Apoplexy was the sole escapee from the dimension to ours. Having assumed a fully humanoid form and using her exceptional weapon-forming powers, she now seeks to find help from us to "restore order to our dimension and home!" Or at least that's what she says.

Bay Pig - A veteran of the Manimal-American Guerilla Strike-Squad (MAG-SS), formed in a temporary alliance between the US and Moreau. Pig initially had volunteered to join the squadron, not realizing the repercussions of manimal genetic alteration on physical appearance. The squadron was deployed in Vietnam during the cold war, but was never retrieved or even contacted during or after the period of the war. With the squadron running out of supplies, Bay Pig realized the reason he had been combined with such an animal: Not for combat purposes, but for "demi-human resources". Through determination, he was able to use his guns to fight off the rest of his bestial squadron, and hold out until he was able to signal US patrols for rescue.

Mach - A past physical engineer, he managed to get his powers via a freak accident in force-absorption material testing at the Ayus Clan. Initially designed to make impenetrable forcefields which absorbed matter, the resulting explosion from the test managed to bend the time-perception of the scientists testing the shielding. Whereas all the other scientists had their motor and cognitive abilities severely slowed, Mach himself had his accelerated to superhuman levels, now capable of running - and hitting - much faster than many other heroes.

Orlaskathut - Shaman of a race of Desert-Dwelling Dragonfolk, Orlaskathut has mysteriously emerged from his unknown homeland to seek the aid of humans. Of course, he knows they will expect help in return, so his form of negotiation turns out to be his mastery of sands, drowning, blinding, and wearing his enemies down to dust.

Paladin - A preacher turned hero by way of wrongful death. Sent to a plane of afterlife by a DEMON spell, the benevolent gods of the realm empathized with Paladin's plight and the injustice that had been done to him. Thus, they imbued him with a degree of their powers, allowing him to rise from the dead and don holy arms to strike down his foes. Now skilled with blades of all sorts and heavily armored, he seeks to prevent others from suffering fates like his own; not everyone, even those who are faithful, can be so lucky.

Xenophon (alt)- A subroutine drone of Socrates, Xenophon is designed to do both field work and protect and manage entrance teleporters to Powerhouse locations. Recently, however, Xenophon's derivative AI has developed a sense of adventure, and so now more routinely goes out of its way to explore the world and solve troubles.

Alylaesca Stormsinger - Warrior (Use that term lightly) Princess from an alternate, medieval dimension. She is destined to be the queen of the sovereign nation of the Flohmen, but is not psychologically suited for the task. Since her chancellor, Balgarn Misthaven, recognized that she was having difficulty with her duties of leading the nation, he decided he would use his own knowledge of military tactics and diplomacy to defend the kingdom, and his mastery of dimensional magics to take Aylaesca to a less violent realm. This brings her to Millennium City, where her gift of the ability to summon howling winds and incliment weather by way of her voice is used just as much. Only, now without having to worry about bloodthirsty enemy mage-knights.

Mister Troll - A troll that has been living in Millennium City for 300 years. He's been living underneath the bridge in City Center park, and it was only recently when he took down a Bear-Manimal wandering around the area that he discovered that he could actually be respected instead of feared. He's now moved out from under the bridge and pretty much has let the glory go to his head, using his "mystical troll-magic" to make his foes faint!

Gulch Barber - Once a peaceful singer at the Snake Gulch park, she was captured by Black Harlequin on Christmas eve. Though the Harlequin did give her a much more realistic and humanoid figure, he also gave her a gigantic scissor blade for a hand for no other reason than to horribly freak out children. However, Harlequin failed to reprogram the robot and so it turned on its master, cutting a nasty gash into Harlequin and forcing him to leave for a year. Not interested in returning to the turmoil of Snake Gulch, she decided to take a vacation and beat up some thugs.

Draugur - An ancient warrior who strived for power and mastery in life, Draugur would have been taken to Valhalla had he not been backstabbed by an assassin in his own home. He instead was sent to Niflheim, the realm of mist, and would spend several centuries there, his body decaying as he laid dormant. Eventually, his spirit gathered enough will to resist what he considered a wrongful end, and fought his way through the realm and back to the world of the living, re-emerging as the Draugur. Armed with a soul-blade, he is much weaker than he was in life and must resort to using cunning and stealth to overcome his hardier foes.

Later heroes:
Digsight, Kualia, and Secretary

These are well done since they employ minimalism as their structure. You could see them in an old fashion comic book cover, I think.

The only one I have issues with is N. The similarities of he and Slenderman are a bit too much, so rather than saying "ah, that's a character," I just say, "ah, that's Slenderman."

You've seen one otherworldly horror you've seen them all, eh?

I like the character card format.

Star Soldier is my favorite by far. The use of those pieces to make his mask is awesome.

But all the characters are really well done. Nothing is overly flashy while the way each costume piece fits together makes each stand out in it's originality.

N, more than anything else, is actually a joke character. His ability is much less to actually hurt anyone with any sort of otherworldly dimensional powers, but more to shapeshift into things he couldn't possibly even shapeshift into.
Yes, those are all forms of N.

Thanks! The character card format's sort of borrowed from Nocens. I generally employed similar techniques such as the whole color-shift of tailor background. Some of the other effects I saw were a bit more subtle and had a bit of trouble reproducing, so instead you get my blatant and messy photoshoppery on these. :o
