Hey guys

I have a character that I need your advice on. He's a mix character of Heavy weapons/Fire as main and some pieces of force/bestial/power armour and Gadgeetering.

Genesis: Lvl 23 Champion

Super Strength

Powers:

Lv6: Arc of Ruin
Lv8: Fire strike

Lv14: Heatwave
Lv17: Fireball
Lv20: Pyre
Lv23: Munitions bots

I want to know what you think of this build. So far it hasn't let me down since I havent died yet in the game only once when I tried doing Amazing grace quest alone. I also want your advice about what power should I put in lvl 38 because I can't think of anything to put there anymore.

The builds purpose is to be able to dish out a ton of damage while keeping my health up with regen and get be able to soak in lots of damage with the buffs like Unbreakable and Field Surge.

So anyways what do you thinl?

If this build is for PvP, ignore my comments. I don't care for PvP and I don't know what works well in it. If this is for PvE, you can improve a lot.

Get rid of Super Recovery. It is the least useful stat in the game. With a good build, you shouldn't have to use your energy builder. Instead, pick up PRE as your super-stat and get Thermal Reverberation. That will feed you energy from using most of your fire-based attacks. If you can, fit Flashfire in your build for guaranteed triggering of Thermal Reverberation.

Regeneration is not very good at 40 and against tough content. It may work fine now, but you will reach a point where you can't stay alive with just Regeneration. Any of the other slotted defensive passives will work much better. Staying alive at 40 requires mitigation so you don't have to heal as much. Also, Regeneration works best with high CON. Consider Invulnerability if you want a defensive passive with some flexibility in your stats and build. Defiance is good for stacking Enrage, but you would have to be STR/CON to gain the most benefit from it and Enrage.

Speaking of Enrage, you should change your powers so you can build it up and take advantage of your STR. I would drop Eruption and pick up Cleave instead. At a full 8 stacks, you should be able to get a total of over 120% damage bonus from Enrage with decent gear at 40. That's nothing to sneeze at and it will affect all of your powers.

You can't take Arc of Ruin at level 6. Look in the stickied posts for a link to the Champion Builder. I didn't check every power in your build to ensure you can take it at the level mentioned. A useful power to take a level 6 would be the lunge power.

If you would rather use Skewer as your Enrage-builder (it can work better in some situations), take the block power at 6 and the lunge power at 1. I would probably stick with Cleave so you can build Enrage when only fighting one target, like an instance boss.

Your fire attacks are not very good. Pyre and Fireball are ok, but you only need one of those. I would go with Fireball and pick up its debuff advantage. Fire Snake, Conflagaration, and Flashfire are the other good fire attacks.

I would pick up the healing drones instead of Munitions Bots. You don't really need the DPS from the Munitions Bots and they will die often. The healing from drones is pretty good, though.

Field Surge is made for characters that are using the Personal Force Field slotted passive. Masterful Dodge would be the better choice. Resurgence is made to work with Regeneration, but you should be dropping Regeneration from the build.

Orbital Cannon is more of a novelty power than something useful. It does a lot of damage in one hit, but most enemies are dead before it can fire. It is somewhat reliable on bosses (especial non-moving ones) but you would be better doing damage through other attacks than wasting the time to charge it up.

Avoid using attacks with very similar mechanics. In general, you don't need more than one charge-up single-target attack. You also don't need more than one close AoE. It may be hard to avoid that when mixing powersets like this, but try to fit utility powers in the build when they are your only option for avoiding similar powers. Look for self-healing powers like Conviction and Bionic Shielding first.
