You guys are not part of Atari anymore and would like to point out that your website needs to be updated:

Atari logo removed and also that legal writing:
"Atari and the Atari logo are trademarks owned by Atari Interactive, Inc. All rights reserved." need to be removed

Everyone say hello to "Perfect World" :)

I'm sure now with a parent company that has HUGE money on their pockets will invest heavily with development for Cryptic Studios.... only time will tell but from what I can see, this can be good.

Atari is not the same like before...

I'm sure they will update it in a timely manner. It is not like Atari would sue if Cryptic websites aren't updated the minute the ink dries.

Def. being a QA Engineer profession I tend to catch these little things quickly.. and following the stock market closely (Don't talk to me about that!) allowed me to catch that announcement happening today!

All hail our new Chinese Overlords.

Kidding aside, Congratulations to both Cryptic and PW. Will be interesting to see what the future holds.

The support link still takes you to Atari, and browsing their PC-DVD game section shows Champions Online. While Atari may be in the process of selling off Cryptic, or otherwise ending their relationship w/ them, that does not appear to have happened yet, so I don't think they need to start taking down any links or such.

It's official but I'm sure there is a handover / grace period where Atari will continue with it's...uh...stellar support...yeah...that's the right way to put it... until PW can get in place to do it.

Atari has announced that the sale is complete. It is likely the transfer of things like support hasn't happened yet though. You can't expect a clean quick switchover the minute the sale is complete.

Presumably Atari and PW have an agreement for how they'll handle the changeover; they're going to need to switch the billing and support systems, and that takes time.

If the sale of the company is anything like the sale of a house, coming to an agreement, the changing of hands of funds, and the actual "take over" all occur at different times. Atari may very well retain support responsibility for several months...

Don't be surprised if nothings changed in a months time there's probably a whole exit strategy worked out for the handover and a lot of things will probably happen out of site so that when the game switches there's as little down time as possible as It would be hardly great PR if the game was down for a week because some one forgot to dot a i or cross a t in the rush.
