So this new patch broke some things. However, the visual quality of textures has taken a nose dive for me personally.
My specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Intel Core2 Quad Q9400 @ 2.66 Ghz
4 gigs Ram
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 280
Driver Version 275.33
Game settings are maxed out. They haven't changed from yesterday, prior to today's patch.
Here is what I see now: (hosted from my personal web space)

here is what my friend ciao sees on his max settings:

Please help!

To compare as to what it's supposed to look like, I have some screenshots of Snazzy's character from my machine. My machine is unaffected by this problem.
Specs are:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Intel i7 920 Quad @ 2.8ghz
12gb DDR3 RAM
Two Nvidia Geforce GTX 260's (Driver version 270.61)
The screenshots on my end are in Snazzy's initial post.

It did the same to me. What you need to do is turn off the Advanced Graphics options and move the slider all the way down to 0 on the graphic slider. Then move it back up to maximum and let the textures repop and reload and you should be good.
That's what I did. I have to move it down and back up twice before it happened, but now it's fine once again.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit too. Maybe that's a cause? Others I know with 64 bit haven't had trouble, but I don't know if they're on Home/Pro or Ultimate or not.

Thank you so much. Playing around with the slider did it. Odd how the advanced settings sliders are completely benign.

Ya, I don't know what was going on there, but your texture quality clearly wasn't low, since it was only the chest texture getting that, while the beard/scarab etc. looked the same.
Textures go through a process called MIPPING in which, the farther away you get, the lower resolution the texture is, since you can't make out that detail anyway. As you get closer, it should get higher res up to max. Sometimes you can see it pop, or delay if you move around very quickly. From your screenshots, it looks like that one texture just didn't reload properly.
If you see it happening more, let us know.

Textures in this game seem to sometimes take time to load. For example, things like bandages and ridges on bracers will appear smooth and detailless for a couple of seconds when I first select them in the tailor. This was a problem that was prevalent for me, even before this patch business.
I'll need to see if it's persistent next time I log on myself.
