Is it possible to ss these stats effectively? I've got half blue and I'm still at 29% str bonus and 31% dex bonus... should i switch ss and just drop points into str?
Thoughts?

You should post your build so people on here can get a better informed opinion on what would serve you better. DX better for a crit build, ST better for enrage, ect, ect.

Short answer: Yes they can be SS'd effectively.
Long answer: What dwarf said. Also, what are the rest of your stats at? What level character is this? etc. etc.
Need moar info! :)

If you're running a Martial Arts Form toggle character, then the Str and Dex SS aren't horrible choices. But yes, you will run into a lower net total than you would if you didn't have SS choices which fought over the same item slots. (I've been told that some people will still run Dex and Ego SS and just dip into Str through gear on a Form build, but I didn't choose that route on my Single Blade character.)

It really depends on what you are going for.
For my "tanks" I prefer DEX/CON with STR and EGO from gear. Of course, I use a form, LR, BCR, and Masterful Dodge.
I can't think of any set that can really work well with STR/DEX super statted. I mean, I assume you are going with the Martial Arts tree. There really are better ways to build a MA toon, though.
Focusing on DEX/EGO will end up giving you more damage output from critical hits alone than you would get from STR/DEX.

SS Dex/Str can work, but you'll have like no Rec.
That being said, the only time I would go SS Dex/Str is in an AoPM + Enrage build.

Strength and Dex compete for gear slots, which makes it harder to earn really high damage bonuses from them when they're taken as Superstats. However, selecting competing stats as Supers is also a good way of getting respectable, if not immense, numbers in two stats of any given slot, which is normally rather difficult to do. Heh...I actually rather like the stat system in Champions, it's something of a fun little side puzzle trying to figure out just exactly how to wring what you want out of it.
Insofar as Superstats go, Dual Blade builds don't normally require SS Strength. Players will sometimes shoot for 70 Strength for the melee bonus on a super-optimized build, but I've run an Unarmed/Munitions hybrid to 40 and beyond with no Strength whatsoever and done just fine. The Form toggles are all ye need for most melee situations...which is why you really, really should get one, unless I'm reading your icons wrong.
Anyways. The typical stats for a Dual Blades character are usually DEX/EGO, to maximize critical damage, but you can't really go wrong with anything, provided that anything includes Dexterity and Form of the Tempest to go with it. If you're cool with somewhat lower power damage bonuses, stick with Strength - SS Strength is an easy way to maximize the 20% melee damage boost, which makes up for the four or five percent you lose to competing gear. If you'd rather get that four or five percent back, I'd go with either Ego or Constitution. Intelligence is an alrightish choice given the splash into Gadgeteering, but doesn't do as much for a build like this as Ego or Con would. Presence, Endurance and Recovery are all dump stats for a build set up like yours is - provided you get that Form.

Here's where I'm at now. I'm thinking about switching to Ego for my other ss as it's already pretty high. I can easily get my str to 70+ without much work. Thoughts?

If you want a reliable self heal, I suggest:
Lightning Reflexes>Bountiful Chi Resurgence w/Resurgent Reiki . You will gain health for every dodge. If you are SS DEX and add LR, you will be dodging quite a bit. BCR also has a cooldown that lasts as long as the buff itself meaning you can constantly reapply it.
Unless you are using Force Shield with the Sheathe advantage for energy gain, I'd suggest Energy Shield w/ Laser Knight. Laser Knight activates your shield every time you make a melee attack. As you are all melee, you would have a constant defense buff.
-OR-
Take Parry w/Elusive Monk. It will further increase your dodge and make BCR even more effective.
Unless you are inlove with Iron Lariat, Sword Cyclone is a better choice.
Concentrate on CON/DEX as SS for a dodge tank and stat EGO and STR in your gear for high critical hits.
This is all just a suggestion.
