# 1 Celestial Angel Build Help

Hi all

I recently started having a look at an old Celestial hero of mine. I'm hoping to completely rework the hero, who was previously an almost pure Celestial build, into a mighty, healing Angel. I'd still like to deal mostly with Celestial moves, as they look fantastic and I'm planning to make other sorcery heroes later, but I also want to spread out into other powers to make the hero heal well and do okayish damage.

I've read a lot of other threads and noticed that a lot of people seem to agree on a few things:

* Going int/pre instead of con/pre
* Celestial Conduit / Illumination w/ Brilliance advantage
* Seraphim for healing or Aura Of Radiant Protection for group support (so I'd prefer Seraphim for healing and ease of levelling)
* Palliate for quick healing
* Ascension for an active offence
* Skarn's Bane (for damage reasons, I assume?)
* Vengeance blows as an attack

I'm still at a loss on how to make this hero work properly though. He's at level 26, so I don't have to worry about getting him through the early levels. I just want to make a hero who can solo well but also heal well in a group. I'm tempted to take both Seraphim and AORP for different builds, I'm not sure which moves to focus on as I level, nor which advantages to consider.

I've seen that some builds include telekenesis moves, such as Ego Sprites and Ego Sleep, but these don't seem to work well thematically, though I can understand how these would work well with the damage boost from Seraphim. Perhaps these just work better than I can imagine.

In any event, I would like to have an effective angelic healer, mostly but not solely based on Celestial, who can heal well but also solo up to 40 well. If possible, I'd like to have at least one "angelic sword" looking move, but I'm not sure on whether this would be worth it or not. More importantly, I think I'd like Resurrection and self Resurrection moves.

So, any suggestions here, everyone?

My thanks in advance for any and all replies!

Kind regards
llesna

The issue with Celestial is that it has some great powers, but some not great ones. Unfortunately, most of the ones that do damage fall in the latter category. However, since you are at level 26, you have some options. Within your stated parameters of being primarily Celestial:

Level 6: Super Intelligence
Level 13: Super Presence

Level 1: Radiance
Level 1: Seraphim -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 6: Conviction -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 8: Celestial Conduit -- Rank 2, Serenity OR Rank 3
Level 11: Force Shield -- Force Sheath
Level 14: Redemption
Level 17: Palliate -- Absolve
Level 20: Illumination -- Brilliance
Level 23: Protection Field -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 26: Skarn's Bane -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 29: Ego Blade Breach -- Rank 2
Level 32: Iniquity -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 35: Rebirth
Level 38: Aura Of Radiant Protection -- Rank 2, Rank 3
1 advantage point unspent (for travel power rank 2?)

Level 1: The Grimoire
Level 6: Healthy Mind
Level 9: Shrug It Off
Level 12: Boundless Reserves
Level 15: Quick Recovery
Level 18: Command Training
Level 21: Survival Training

Skarn's is your AoE; Conduit your ranged attack; and Blade Breach (colored appropriately) your holy sword of light. Seraphim buffs all three so you should have no trouble killing. Skarn's is a beast, even in Sentinel, Conduit will do decent damage buffed by Seraphim. Since you'd be taking Breach for flavor, might as well have an attack that does decent damage -- or take Dragon's Wrath if you have a sword costume piece that would work for you and prefer a more mundane look to the sword.

Frankly the build is redundant in two areas -- the double passive and the high number of heals plus bubble. However, Conduit serves two purposes, the bubble is a blessing, Palliate is the oh crap aggro dump and Iniquity is for those times when you have to heal someone else NOW. Also, Conviction with super-stat PRE is a good clik self heal that can be used to allow you to recover from Iniquity use.

Seraphim would be fine for leveling -- although if you team, absent a decent tank you may find its healing pulses draw aggro from adds that no one has tagged. On my healer I respeced at 40 and placed my slotted passive in the level 38 slot -- so I can retcon it and its advantage points if I want to based on what I plan to do. If you do that, you could take a click defense (like Unbreakable) or a break-free click (like Ascension) and free up advantage points to rank up your block, Breach/D Wrath or whatever.

Thank you muchly there for all your input ^_^

This will greatly help me to come up with a good, thematic build for this hero that's fun to play.
