The Ebon Ruin is there because I went up against a boss I couldn't take since he kept healing. I'm not really into PvP, but I tricked out Thunderbolt Lunge since ranged guys keep trying to duel me and laugh as they just hover outside of my range and shoot me. I'm also had the occasional blocking mob. This is a leveling build, and so far it has done good by me. Only level 13, but easily taking on missions. When I get my heal next level I shouldn't ahve any more trouble.
Dragon Kick/Dragon Wrath - Some people don't think a build should ahve more then one Dragon attack, since either one does the buff, but for me one is for Cone AoE and the other is for single target massive DPS.
In most cases I went for the short term buffs over ranking up attacks. As long as I keep attacking, my defense should take care of itself, I hope.
I took Eye of the Storm over Storm Cyclone for it's low energy use and improved defense. It is my "Surrounded By Zombies" attack.
A few notes, I know I could trade three points from Lunge to FotM for the quick recharge on BCR. However, that would mean clicking it even more often. I'm not thrilled about having a regen you need to keep tapping. It's pretty much up in the air, I'd have to get those points from somewhere.
Any obvious flaws? Drop Ebon Ruin for Shuriken Throw? Avoid Duels and harves the Lunge points?

I like this build but if one wanted to put in Sword Cyclone and still keep Eye of The Storm, where would you suggest that? ( I don't pvp)

If you aren't PvP'ing or Dueling (and don't mind having a little more trouble with healing bosses) take out ebon ruin and pump up sword cyclone with the points from Lunge.

If you dont intend to take Storm's Eye Prana on your form, a perfectly valid decision, you might consider taking Form of the Tempest instead. You will have much more control of your ability to generate Focus stacks with Tempest than with Master. This will be particularly apparent if you opt to team. A dedicated tank may very well prevent you from being attacked sufficiently to maintain your focus with Master.

Looking over it... I don't know. I'm not feeling Ebon Ruin. How would that work in a fight? Just keep tapping it every now and then? Are healing bosses common in the game? I've run across two so far, and only one that I couldn't out DPS (this was on my other alt). Really, Dragon Kick to stun them when they try to heal, or Dragon's Wrath to out DPS their heal SHOULD be the way this build works. Ebon Ruin doesn't even complete take out heals, just reduces them by %50. Then again, it is a solid ranged attack, which this build is more then a little needing.
However, you bring up a good point about what if I'm not solo. What good is a DPS if they loose a lot of their damage when they are in a group? It reduces the effectiveness of Masterful Dodge (part of it's use was to fill up the focus when you are in trouble). But on the whole, it is better in the long run as I'm more able to control when I attack then when I dodge.
However, that brings up another problem. If I do group, and I'm DPS'ing, I'll likely pull aggro since I have no presence at all (not even equipment). Combine that with the idea that both Burning Chi Fist and Fury of the Dragon are semi-redundant (and FotD is considered not very useful for something on a 90 second reuse timer). So I moved BCF back a little and took Smoke Bomb for it's aggro wipe. BCF is still useful for it's melee buff, but for single target DPS I took Dragon's Wrath (which has it's own buff). I don't have enough advantage points to invest in both, so whichever I don't invest in fully loses some of it's "oomph".
It's possible to drop it for Sword Cyclone which could be powered by the Dragon Kick buff, but seeing as it's the last power now, I'll likely try both, possibly leave that slot open for retconning to the flavor of the month.

You might swap Smoke Bomb for Evasive Maneuvers with the aggro wipe advantage. It gives you a nice dodge bonus while you solo and is on a much shorter cooldown.
It's only a 50% chance to drop aggro, but if you use it preventively it only costs 11.

I like it, and it sets me up for lunge. Not sure where I could pull two advantage points from, though. I suppose pull the Crippling Challenge out of Lunge. I don't want to gimp my PvE build for the sake of a few Duels. And it gives me an extra point for my cruising travel power. Teleport is nice in enclosed areas, but using it to try and travel long distances is annoying.
So what is the norm here? Do I keep posting revised builds? Do I delete earlier builds so people don't have to scroll through them all? Or do I just revise the first post's build repeatedly?

I prefer to see reposting of the revised build rather than revision of the OP. It makes it much easier to see the new build, and what others have posted about it subsequently.

What form of healing are you talking about that's giving you trouble? Is it the life drain power? All you need to do for that one is block and it's negated. If it's something else, like the Support Drones that those Viper commanders use, then those guys might be a bit tougher (but focusing on the main guy with Sword Cyclone should take him out quickly enough.)
