# 1 Fully customizable sidekicks

I figured I might as well separate this from my thread on "pets", and I apologize if someone else already made a thread about this.

What I'm hoping can be implemented is this, and it's pretty simple to explain so far:
-Sidekicks with fully customizable power sets (can use powers from more than one powerset).
-Also with fully customizable costumes, with access to every weapon and costume piece unlocked for regular "hero" characters.
-Choice in the gender of the sidekick.
-Functions as a universal powerset "pet" power.
-Scales with character level like any other "pet" power in the game already. (Therefore, the amount of powers available to the sidekick may be limited to the same amount as the player character as they level.)

If it's any incentive to the Cryptic team, maybe they could make the power something you could both buy in the C-Store and unlock via some challenge.

Couple problems. 1) AI scripting. Unless they have a way for us to do the AI scripting I don't see customize powers on a custom sidekick. 2) Clearly what you are calling for is more powerful then a simple pet so the penalties associated should be much higher.

I'm sure there's *some* way it could work, though...

Although I would be comfortable if they still had only one powerset, but let you customize the look for your sidekick. I think it'd be pretty neat.

10 minute cooldown when they are defeated
reduced your attack and energy recharge by 25%

I think those two would be fair penalties for having a sidekick that looks customized and being able to choose their powerset.

If they can't get multiple powerset setups to work, I can tough it out and deal with one powerset. >_>

Were my penalties decent for having a sidekick? the person fights alongside you and they should heal at a slower rate of speed too, to make ot fair but fight with 50% of your overall attack, so all in all, put together 125% attack.

Make a sidekick slot expensive in the c store, I know it sucks, but pulling out some cash for a sidekick would help, I think that it would be a great addition, imagine running a lair with 10 guys from a 5 man crew? lol

So all in all, what do you think?

1. A sidekick pet that scales with your level, meaning they hit 50% of your base damage at all times unless you buff them.

2. Your own attack is reduced to 75% in response to using a sidekick.

3. If your sidekick is defeated then it is a 5-10 minute cooldown before you can bring them back.

4. They have a single powerset to pick and use (Include archtypes in this I.E. the specialist)

5. If they are using a powerset that uses weapons, then let us choose a costume unlock for them to use instead of the standard sword, claw, or gun.

6. Make it purchasable through the Cstore. I would be willing to pay top dollar for my own personal sidekick, and let us be able to edit them for when we edit out costume.

7. Possible to purchase costume slots for them, so when we change a costume, they can change theirs also to match our new one.

I tink these are good enough suggestions and specific for sidekicks, anyone agree?

I like this idea, I could just imagine it being possible to use a variation of the "sidekick" to make a perma device for the "DUPLICATE" self power. for example, you could have one really hot chick with the code name "Trinity" with the power to make two duplicates of herself. Her quote, "I'M THREE TIMES THE BUT KICKING BABE YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE"!

just too cool.

Sounds like it could work, to me.

Also, it'd be interesting if you could actually purchase several sidekicks like these, but you'd either only be able to use one, or the damage for each character would scale down to the same total for each sidekick added. This could tie in with psyker_001's idea.

in regards to the add ons that psyker added in, you could just have your sidekick be a mirror image of you but having an exact copy of your powers would have the DEVS up in arms over it being too difficult, I think it is a great idea though, but if it's one sidekick, then just one image, be double the butt kicking babe, also, just have it be like the nemesis creator, choose a powerset for them and also a personality, so you get lines from them while fighting :) I think it'd make the work light on them and keep us free form players so so so happy :) I think free form players should get a sidekick for free, and then have to pruchase sidekick slots, so we can switch between sidekicks, but it should be a decent price. do you think the DEVs would be comfortable with that?

Gold members get one sidekick for free, and have to buy sidekick slots, also be able to edit their sidekick's costume rather than have costume slots. (Less work on their part)

Have them just be made from a powerset, to keep it light and easy and let them expand later when they work out the kinks.

I love the idea but if this idea were implimented then who would use the sidekicks already in the C-Store right now?
