So, my DB blade was a great success, sitting at 31 now and is a virtual juggernaut, Dragon's Wrath -> Eye of the storm and my blue bar rarely goes below 3/4ths and I rarely take damage (BCR + reiki on top of parry + adv and flippin for 56% dodge means when I DO take damage, it's gone as fast as it comes)
.. Problem is.. it's boring. Things are a bit TOO easy, I could solo viper X in the area quest at 25, not easily mind, but I did it three times to prove a point -- That, mixed with the fact that I am only ever using two buttons, ever. The rest are passives or toggles or simply situational (I use evasive + thunderbolt when fighting a boss, otherwise.. isn't worth the effort)
So, I decided to try something else -- unfortunately, DB spoiled me, most other builds kill too slow, or are too squishy -- Ego blades suffers the second, HOWEVER, the crit focus makes me happy, and the graphics (surprisingly!) make me double-happy, I have a nice concept for it and all
.. however it's squishy, like.. I have trouble soloing blue missions because an ambush with more than 3 mobs faceplants me and super villains are suicide squishy. I crit for 400! but die just as fast.
Most of the build came from WIllblack's framework guide, but.. it needs some work

anon: Level 40 Champion
Superstats:
Level 5: Super Dexterity
Level 13: Super Ego
Powers:
Level 1: Kinetic Dart
Level 1: Ego Blade Frenzy
Level 5: Ego Form -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 5: Swinging
Level 8: Form Of The Unleashed Tempest
Level 11: Telekinetic Eruption -- Enhanced Form
Level 14: Ego Surge -- Nimble Mind
Talents:
Level 1: The Hero
Level 6: Agile
Level 9: Enduring
Level 12: Impresario
Atm, moving ego surge to mid-20's looks like a good idea (though I honestly don't think I have enough money for htat T_T oh well, figure something out) -- Telekinetic eruption is nice.. but I can't use it whtout hitting my energy builder, and not really sure the damage bonus is worth taking the time out to do that -- at least at this stage, thinking maybe pick it up later, when I have some end stacked on the side to power it.
As for what to replace them with? complete blank, healing seems to make sense, but, BRC isn't so useful since the build isn't really dodge based, telepath powers make sense conceptually, but seem to all be powered by pre, which.. isn't being stacked. not sure how to buff my defense with this set up
On that note how useful are breach and annihilation? Breach seems useful for the debuff, but annihilation seems.. odd.
Anyhow! advice is welcomed, as is criticism -- Intent with the build is just to solo well, and be an asset to a party when available (Which the massive spike dps kind of.. does that for you)

Well for starters the two primary attacks for the set are Ego Blade Frenzy, and Breach. Those are your bread and butter with everything else being optional.
I have SS Dex/Con, but the big helper for my survival is Force Shield with Force Sheath. Even with it taking a dive in power after F2P it's still a great way to absorb some hurt. When I take really heavy fire it has let me ignore my energy builder too for back to back Frenzy use against offending henchmen.
I'm also a huge fan of Resurgence, and so I have that in my pocket when my health gets low. Usually firing off an active defense + Frenzy spam takes care of multiple pulls. Though Force Shield was the big helper in getting me through the low levels.
I'd also like to mention that Frenzy was my only attack until Breach opened for me at 26. Yeah, I took a lot of out of framework powers, but it was worth it! :D

Kyuubil;
I hate to disappoint you, but Ego Blades is the same 2-trick pony Dual Blades is, except a little less damaging and with far less in-set synergy and survivability. Frenzy and Breach are the only 2 attacks you need to really comprise an Ego Blade build. Everything else tends towards redundant.
TK Blades also has energy issues. Frenzy isn't too bad, and Ego Weaponry is probably the most DPE of any single target atack in the game, but Breach an Annihilation cost more than Dragon's Wrath, and don't proc Rush. TK doesn't have any sort of secondary energy unlock (Ego Leech is extremely unreliable, and totally useless in boss fights).
Tempest Form can help mitigate some energy problems, but it isn't enough. I recommend dipping into Telepathy and picking up some control powers as well as Telepathic Reverb. Ego Sleep is a good choice now, IMO. Ego Storm is also extremely potent and with TP Reverb, can build energy for you like crazy. Keep in mind that TP Reverb scales on PRE. You don't need it SS'd, but stacked in your talents and gear is a good idea. Another option is nabbing Spirit Reverb and Void Shift + Emerging Nightmares for a burst of enery whenever you kill a feared target, and a consistent method of applying fear. Ego Sleep can also apply fear.
All of the Paranormal Damage sets have lots of powers that play into each other via status effects, so there's a lot of different ways to swing a build like this. Personally I go for the "Control and Dismember" style of TK Blades + Telepathy. Combine with a bit of stealth, and you have a reasonable make-shift defense. You should be killing things fast enough to where it's irrelevant. You can also do Dodge stacking on a TK Blader, just requires more effort. Else, Protection Field is a good defense, and Empathic Healing is both cheap and very useful.
EDIT:
FYI, I use both EBB and Annihilation, at R3. I find Annihilation useful as a finisher. Costs about half of a full charged EBB for about half the damage, but with the conditional it's much more energy efficient for the damage it deals. Useful also in PvP for finishing off someone once their health drops. Even if they've got MR or PF up -- that 4-5k crit is still going to drop the shield and finish off the target underneath.
Also, I used to run my TK Blader as DEX/INT before F2P (where Ego Form still scaled with Ego), and heavily staced Ego to compensate. This was to help offset the tremendous energy costs of Breach and Annihilation, and lower recharge times are extremely useful. I swapped over to DEX/PRE after F2P hoping to be able to milk TP Reverb for energy better, but have been underwhelmed. I am probably going to go DEX/END, because every time I get a "not enough energy" message, I die a little on the inside.
