Is this hold fixed yet where incoming damage now reduces breakfree time or is it still broke like Electrocute was? I wanna take this power for PvP, but I am not gonn if it is still acting unfairly. And really, if it is fixed what is the diff between this and ego hold? is one better than the other?

It's damage-sensitive now, IIRC. Still the best though, if just for the AOE hold advantage.

During the supernatural patch in May they changed this from causing a confuse to a paralyze hold. Then from May to July it was broken exactly like electrocute. In July they finally fixed both electrocute and soul mez, and those were the only two holds which acted broken in this way (not breaking on damage).

in terms of hold strength and duration, all three of electrocute, soul mes, and ego hold are exactly the same. The only difference are charge times, activation times, energy costs, cooldown times, and special advantages.

Electrocute has the longest cooldown and the highest energy cost. No reason to use it besides theme or for the electric debuff advantage (a mere 10%).

Soul mes has a shorter cooldown and smaller energy cost, and it's advantage can be lulzy (mostly in PvE, but try it while both teams are battling over consoles in SH sometime).

The reason ego hold is the king is because it lets you move while charging, this is worth much more than anything unique about soul mes or electrocute.

Keep in mind all the holds are being reworked in the FTP launch.
