With the game going free to play, I honestly feel a little screwed, cause I still wasted a substantial amount of money on a game I did enjoy, but just didn't enjoy enough for 15$ a month.

I bought the game at launch and bought a time card for 30$. That's about $80 I spent. What are my rewards for when this game goes free to play, if any?

I know I should not get all the gold features, but is there absolutely nothing for many of the people in my position?

Seriously? You want a life time sub for $80?

The terms were clear going in. Fun is subjective, you took a chance and lost. You are entitled to nothing else, except what every other non-subbed player will get.

Woops, I meant to type not. haha

Yeah, I know I shouldn't have all of the gold features. That is pretty obvious, but I would still think that they deserve a little extra something for the time and money invested compared to any new player who has invested absolutely nothing but has just as much as we do.

Extra character slot? Something like that. Not much, but something to make me not regret my purchase, cause this model makes me fully regret giving it a chance.

If you don't subscribe, you get the same things everyone else who doesn't pay Cryptic any money gets. If you subscribe, your previous subscription time counts towards Veteran rewards, plus of course you still have your characters.

Ever heard the phrase 'you get what you pay for'?

Welcome to the real world.

I spent sub fees for a year and a half before I paid an additional 300 for a LT subscription. Should I get a special sign to hang around my neck for that additional investment?

I think not. I get veteran awards, exclusive LT costume pieces, and the right to laugh uproariously at people who suggest $80 should constitute a special investment in a game :D

What you gain is a headstart. If you continue subbing, you will have these awesome custom characters running around all the archetype f2pers.
If you don't subscribe and change your characters to archetypes, you will have archetype characters at higher levels than all the new archetype f2pers.

Call the money you spent "substantial" when it reaches $250, which is what I put up.

At least you could unsubscribe, and take your money elsewhere, y'know? A lifer who is similarly displeased, does not have that option.

You have 90 days accrued towards Veterans' Rewards (60 from the card, 30 from the retail box). That's your reward.

You could resume your subscription, and in only ten days, get the first tier of Vet Reward. A total of four months of subscribing would give you the second tier (200 days), and three more months would give you the third tier (300 days).
