Hello,

I am a total noob and been playing the trial/buddy key off and on all night making different characters etc. Anyways I was looking at the archtypes and I am a bit confused. Will I be able to pick what powers I want per level or will each archtype only be allowed certain powers?

I know this sounds dumb but I have a 2 year old daughter who is obsessed with Superman. Anyways I made my character look as much like Superman as possible and she just laughed and smiled etc and really enjoyed watching me play cause she thought she was watching a Superman cartoon. Well as I leveled, I am level 11 now I have picked different powers, I did a ranged fire attack to come out of my head (to be heat vision), then picked frost breath, and then I also go the force field ability for i can be invulnerable. My travel power is flight. When I started my character I picked the Might option, where you get the two punching attacks to start with.

Will I be able to do this once game goes F2P, if not.. would I be able to just do a strict melee character that looks like superman and pick the super jumping and old school Golden Age (Kal-L) type character? Please help me out guys? This game is so amazing..

You will still be able to customise powers to your hearts content after F2P, so long as you are subscribing. Players who are playing for free are limited to Archetypes only, and the power progression for archetypes is fixed (aside from travel powers and ranks/advantages). It is unlikely there will be a superman style archetype, as he'd be too recognisable as such. (lawsuit! lawsuit!)

also, you might want to consider retconning out of the fire attack for the heat vision, and swap it for the 'Eyebeams' power from the power armour set. that would look much more man of steel-y

The way your character looks will still be completly up to you. Of course, looking exacrtly like superman, you are bound to get reported by someone eventually. But the costume creator will be the same F2P as you have been using now in the demo/trial.

The Behemoth Archetype is basically a might build. You will be able to choose flight as a travel power. So I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to continue playing a superman inspired character.

Thanks for the reply guys, so I would be a physical Superman just not with heat vision or ice breath :) BTW what is this retcon thing to redo powers?

um dustin you cant do that if you left powerhouse because once you leave the powerhouse it locks you from selling them i suggest you start a new char out scratch sorry but only way dan your welcome.

um actually you can reset powers.. i just did it just takes a lot of money, anyways i plan on redoing my guy when it goes free to play as behemoth with leaping ability and be golden age superman like, leaping, strength, punching stuff lol

Well seems you found out what a retcon is :)

Not applicable to archetype characters (or at least, they can't redo powers; they can redo talents and advantages).

Can't wait till game goes free to play I have my behemoth character all planned out and my inferno one..

My Behemoth will be called The Shield or The Turbine....and my Inferno is going to be named Johnny Nova (based off a character I made for a pen and paper super hero RPG me and some friends made)
