# 1 About Crisis in the Desert, also additional char slots

I just thought of this:

When the updated Desert Crisis and it's subsequent follow up go live... what happens to the characters who have already finished it, or are right in the middle of it at the time?

Like for instance, say I have a character who's already done Crisis in the Desert and some of the early Desert missions... but then for whatever reason I got distracted and didn't come back to them until after the F2P launch? Are they going to be unable to experience the revamped content? Or am I going to be able to go back and re-run the 'new' version of it all?

Likewise, what happens if I have an alt who's smack in the middle of it? Like say, a character who's still inside the old Desert Crisis when the new version goes up? Can they still complete it? Do they just get dumped out into the normal Desert?

I'm sure it's not going to cause any particularly earthshattering problems or anything; but I'm curious to know how things will work out so I know whether I need to get my characters out of that area over the next few months. (I have many, many alts.)

----

Second question:

Post-F2P launch, are we (gold members) going to continue to have access to a new character slot for each level 40 we make? Or is that something that F2P will be killing off?

I can't answer your first but your second is answered in the F2P matrix, if you hover over the [?] next to character slots it reveals that Gold members get 8 slots plus one for every level 40, 1 at 200 days subscribed and buyable ones in the C-Store.

Okay good, maybe they updated it or I overlooked that when i was checking hehe ><; thank you! (I saw the 8 slots bit, but I didn't see the part about 1 per 40, very helpful!)

It may also be possible that your character will stay in the old crisis, just as quite a few of us have characters in the old powerhouse.
In that case an instance of the old crisis will exist until the last player moves their last forgotten toon out of it.

Yeah, I kind of think that's actually fairly likely >< I think my main concern really is:

"Can I do the new one if I already did the old one?"

I both A) Want to do the new stuff because well, it's new, B) Don't want to cut myself off of valuable mid-level content by doing the desert crisis on new chars >.> That's really what my concern boils down to.

I hope that the new one will have a different completion flag than the old one, so that we get to do it on characters that already are past the first crisis.
For completionists who want to have done everything on one character that is a big deal.

The 1 per 40's a standard thing. It doesn't really have anything to do with F2P.. Every time you level a char to 40, you get a new char slot. Been that way for ages.
