# 1 Revamp Civilian Missions?

That may no longer be the case once Adventure Packs become segregated, but it seems to me that there are fewer reasons to run those anymore. They scale weirdly, aren't very Epic and I'm pretty sure that Adventure Packs pretty much replaced the whole system entirely.

Since that this system isn't exactly needed anymore to smooth the leveling curve, how about we enhance the system to make it as a legitimate activity for everyone to do?

It appears to be a staple within the Champions Universe that established villains performs heist within the city on a regular basis for one reason or another. And while we can already fight the likes of ARGENT, PSI and the Black Aces within those missions, they are so faceless, that you don't really feel like you're doing anything other than beat up Group A, Group B... to take on the Master Villain at the very end.

What I propose, is to re-model the existing missions into an event involving an actual Supervillain, kinda like the Nemesis System but on a lesser scale. (Only one short mission if you prefer. Leet Haxors is a good example of that)

Quote:
Prototype :

The mission open up with a Cutscene showing Armadillo breaking in with a bunch of ARGENT operatives into a subsidiary of ACI Technologies. Then, fade to black, and we see him taking down the last of the security personnel inside the Vault; prompting him to indulge into a false of sense of superiority and accomplishment.

Back at the entrance, you arrive upon the scene only to watch in horror as ARGENT are setting up a bunch of bombs to cover their tracks. The mission then go on as normal as you dismantle the various bombs along the way. As you arrive closer to the last bomb, a cutscene triggers showing an ARGENT henchmen reporting to the big dude that a Superhero has arrived to stop them. Infuriated by this sudden turn of event, he instructs them to get ready for a fight. Following which, the mission resumes all the way until you reach the Supervillain himself.

Then, 5 seconds cutscene with the mandatory Supervillain bravado about breaking your spine in tiny pieces and the fight resumes as it was supposed to and you get to leave the building.

Of course, the Supervillain presumably escapes from prison subsequently to fight another day, but that isn't really relevant to the mission itself.

I am certain that having so much cutscenes for a one-shot mission is a pipe dream at best, but it'd be nice to have access to some Epic missions involving established Supervillains from the Champions Universe. Maybe they could scale the same way as the Serpent Lantern or Blood Moon; that way, you've got something to team for with your friends whenever you feel like it.

Perhaps we can have those all the way up to 40 starting at level 11, what do you say?
