We all know that several travel powers are actually one power with different versions.

Fire Flight is just flight with an aura.

Acrobatics is just one part Superspeed and one part Superleap

Rocket Jump is Superleap gone tech.

Ad nausium, you get the idea.

What I would like to see is some of the existing travel powers, 'reskinned' to add some variety. Also some travel powers could have a torrid night and produce a halfbrreed like Acro. Hopefully this might be relatively resource light and add something to our toons.

Mist Form, Liquid Form or Speed Stealth Tunnleing could be re-skinned- Instead of digging, you Poof into mist, melt into a puddle or throw down a smoke bomb or fade into a and instead of churning the ground, you drift along, ooze about or leave comic style footprints in you wake. [I admit the stealth might be a bit much but I figured i'd throw it in there]

Arcane Flight Carpet or Circle- Earth Flight and or Hover Disk [they're the same aren't they?] could be re-skinned as a flying carper or an arcane circle. Certainly usable animation already exist for these, we'd just need new 'skins' for the flight object under the toon's feet.

I know when I say 'just need a new skin' a dev cries out in anguish. I'm aware that it's not that simple. However...

Mist Form already exists.. Vampires do it, Ice powers do it. Speed Stealth 'obvious' foot prints already exist, sort of, the finding Amphibian provides some obvious footsies after all. Liquid form, might be a tough.. but the general 'polygons' kind of exist via tunneling already, but I don't know how much reworking they'd need.

The flying carpet might be tough, Or it could be a simple thing, depends on how ornate it gets when level up I suppose. The arcane circles, well there's lots as we speak, a new graphical asset at the players feet [or well three, if it changes as it levels] sounds easy..

I had some other ideas but I wanted to toss out something that seemed doable with the resources at hand.

If the first thing that comes to mind is 'craftable' just no.. don't do that or I'll bang my robot head on my desk for a week.

Hover disks/earth flight could certainly use more variants, yea. Those powers would be relatively easy to change graphically but it would make a big difference in what characters can have them as part of a concept...

I'd love to have "bubble flight" where your character rides inside a force field or bubble of some sort. Perhaps make it slower than flight but give it a slight defense bonus while active.

If someone uses thunderbolt lunge on it it should burst with an audible pop :D
