# 1 Open Mission - Rare Device Drops Question

Hi All,

After checking out the CO wiki, I decided I wanted to get the Purple Device drop from the Plunder the Sea Open Mission in Lemuria.

The pirate robots look like they would be a good fit to my Gadgeteer along with the Fists of Compliance Purple Device I picked up during the Bloodmoon, which adds a lot of character to my hero.

After solo defeating Ishmashuel over and over again, and receiving countless "lucky" dubloons for a worthless blue secondary offensive, I'm wondering if there is something keeping me from getting lucky and receiving the purple device drop here.

Should I just plan on running this mission 50 more times? Anyone have an idea what kind of drop rate I'm looking at here?

Any advice would be helpful. Also, has anyone else got this thing?

A lot of the time, these super special awesome devices are actually the consolation prizes.

My suggestion would be, if other people aren't doing the OM, to do most of it on one character, and then swap to the one you want to finish the job. If other people are doing it, just wait to jump in until half way through or later.

the purple quality drops are definitely rare rewards. You could do the OM a bunch and never have one drop.

Ohh, it's purple quality. For some reason, I took that name reference rather literally...
