# 1 Is Crafting Worth It?

My highest level toon is level 31, and I've been crafting for a while. I've found crafting a little useful, mostly for bags. Also some healing items and combat pets.

Someone once told me that crafting is good at level 35+.

Do most people think that it is best to not craft and vendor sell everything?

I've got three level 40s, and a ton of alts in their 20a. Every one of them has maxed their crafting for those levels. In all of those characters, I've used maybe six crafted items- and none of those uses lasted for more than two levels because it was inevitably replaced by something I either found or got through mission completion. Every one of those characters is sitting on banks with multiple tabs filled with crafting resources I'll never use. One of them has built the Arms crafted travel power.

So no, crafting is very clearly broken. What's worse is that the devs seem to be either completely unaware of this, or they just don't care.

IMO the only thing crafting is useful for is bags and heals early on. Like Parfex said, on rare occasions I'll craft something my toon can use but it gets replaced with drops pretty quickly.

Only if you want the action figure and the costume unlocks, and those are all bind on equip, so you could always have someone else make them for you. Other than that, no it's pretty much a waste of time.

What they said.

Get one character to max their skill so you can make 18 slot bags and mail them to your alts.

Oh, and you can craft some items which unlock costume parts (weapons) in case you don't get them as drops.

Shame, really. It should add something to the game, but whilst the system isn't "broken" it is, as it stands, valueless.

I use higher level toons to craft stuff for lower level alts, but even then the alt usually does better with drops.

So far no. I get alot better stuff from loot. I got like 240 mystics and I havent done anything really. Only some bags and couple healing device for emergency situations.
