You want a divine looking character swinging a sword?

This build is one that needs to be retconned into, rather than levelled with:

It's actually a pretty common representation of angels with fiery swrods.

thanx, but i was kind of wondering if MY build would be viable. while i do appreciate advice to reinforce my own builds, at the same time half the fun is doing it myself, hence me asking for improvements to the build, not an entirely new one.

When making a build with an offensive passive, you should be trying to limit your damage types to those boosted by the passive. In this case, that would be all Paranormal damage, which includes Ego, Dimensional and Eldritch. You would be much better off with Ego blade attacks rather than the physical blades. They can also be made to look like fiery magical holy swords so they work thematically.

Your advantage points are spread too thinly.

Pyre isn't boosted by your passive, and you already have expulse for the knockback. If it's the knockback you really want, then drop both Pyre and Expulse and use Force Eruption with the Gravitational Polarity advantage. If you're really after the PBAOE damage, try Ego Storm. If you're taking it because you want some Fire in your build, then instead take Flashfire with Thermal Reverberation for massive energy gain.

Don't take challenging strikes. That's a tanking skill, and you're not a tank. Also, melee Energy Builders should probably be left to tanks as well.

Conviction should be at Rank 3, rather than advantaged.

Redemption would probably be better at Rank 2 rather than advantaged (but Rank 2 + adv is better than Rank 3). Reason being that if you ever res multiple people with Rank 1 Redemption, they will fall over dead again very soon after, because each will only get a tiny portion of their health back.

Conduit should be at R3 to maximise its healing/damage.

Seraphim should be at Rank 3.

If you want to stick with those travel powers, I suggest you rank Rocket Jump up and leave Fire Flight unranked. The former would then be your outdoor travel power, and the latter for indoor travel and for hovering in combat.

Just a note on playstyle: I've found the opposite to be true. I like to keep my Flight Powers at max ranks because they are being used in combat, and the R1 Flight Speed while in combat is only marginally faster than a Pygmy Three-Toed Sloth. Having the extra ranks gives you a much greater level of versatility when in combat.

If we're talking about PvP I'd agree, but PvE doesn't require much combat movement speed. Mobs don't move that much, usually.

No but idiot DPSers do. They love to be at least 200 feet away form the Healer at all times. :D
