As we all now how awful PFF is I got an idea to make it more worthwhile.
Make it so that as long as the force field is active you are also immune from holds and knockbacks or any CC.
Very simple.
That would make it an awesome passive defense.

Why not make it an advantage or toggle power that uses energy?

Well see that's the problem with this games mechanics, because you can mix and match powers PPF can be had by anyone, so making it uber like that does not help balance because it isn't limited to force users. Perhaps if it helped resist holds as an advantage, but ultimately I think it just needs a hell of a lot more defensive power. It should be on par with invulnerability, or at least pretty close to on par. All the defense slot powers need that, if you make them work according to the power sets they belong balance will never happen.

What I could see is them adding an advantage where the PFF's HP can be used as a certain amount of mez effect break-free strength. SO, for instance, if your PFF has 1000hp and you're hit w/ a hold of strength 900, 900 of the PFF's hp would be consumed to break you out of the mez...
