As a big fan of the telekinesis power framework, i suggest you to create a melee energy builder.
Yes, there is kinetic darts but to me as a ego blade fighter it would be easier to do that.

What do you think of it?

Why would anyone want a melee energy builder for TK? Kinetic darts are fine. And ranged.

Why not? You can still use it in melee, and you can use it while you're approaching your enemy, unlike a melee energy builder. The ranged energy builder is superior.

Just take Rain of Steel, and color it the same color as your TK powers. Problem solved.

That would work... if dual blades looked anything like tk blades.

Except it doesn't. So... yeah.

I understand what the OP is saying. It would be cool for some sets to have multiple energy builders if you want a choice between melee or ranged and in the case of TK it would really fit because of the blades powers in the set. I don't think we're going to see that any time soon, but it would be cool.

Alternately, if you want a melee feel you can make fists your emination points and close with your foe. Punch him a few times then break out the blades.

Doing this would take a bit more work than just creating a second EB. Every Power Set has a single EB; every EB comes with a complementary Starter Power and Innate Characteristics package. This is done so that character creation can remain simple and straightforward. If you were to create a melee EB with an Ego Blades theme, you'd effectively be splitting the Telekinesis power set in two, much like what recently happened with Supernatural. And to do that, you need more justification (and more changes) than just "I want a pure melee Ego Blades character".

That said, I think that such justification exists. Telekinesis doesn't correlate too well with what most people think of when they hear the term. Most people think of moving things with your mind. I would like to see TK split into two power sets - an Ego Blades set and a "mind over matter" set (ego darts, holds, pushes and pulls, and so on). The former would be primarily melee; the latter would be primarily or exclusively ranged. In addition to a melee blades EB for the first set, you'd need substitutes for the Ego Blade powers in its ranged counterpart. Like Infernal and Bestial, the resulting power sets could retain considerable overlap, with several powers belonging to both in order to minimize the amount of mandatory retconning that would follow.
