It's been like this as long as I can remember using it, but why is it Superspeed has to have Super Gravity?
Jumping with Superspeed is really inconsistent, if I jump and hold the jump key down, I don't jump very high, and I fall like a rock, taking fall damage from much smaller falls than I should. But if I just barely tap the jump key I get a nice normal floaty jump, where with my speed, I can actually clear some ground and get over a gap....sometimes. Even just tapping the key still makes me fall like a rock very often though.
Superspeed has enough issues compared to the other travel powers as it is, is there any reason for this insane falling speed when I've only jumped a couple feet up? If not, can we please just make all jumps like the floating ones I get sometimes by tapping? Even then it's way behind the other powers, but at least I could get over some chasms.

I wouldnt mind seeing super speed getting the ability to run up buildings, or scale objects with speed

Super speed definitely has some jumping issues. It would be nice to just maintain the same jump height with Super speed turned on or off.

Meanwhile if it's something designed into the engine from the beginning, like the DC Universe engine appears to support, then no big deal.

Kind of off topic....
When you bust into your third "gear" for superspeed...your arms stay straight back instead of moving like you are actually running.
I think it is logical that you would still run with your arms moving.
This is the sole reason that I do no take super speed.

But if they could still add it in, I'd definately be for it but I don't see it happening anytime soon cause it seems that Vibora Bay was designed to not need wallrunning to get around so the above reasoning (only useful in 1 zone) is still in play.
On another note I found this obscure video of a famous speedster that you guys might enjoy :)

The major problem for Superspeed as I see it is that it needs something to differentiate it from Acrobatics.

I definitely agree Super speed is pretty imbalanced. I understand it's a flavor ability, but there has been several times where I wanted to take super speed but didn't because it's such a huge detriment.
A few things I think would make it worth it:
At max speed you have zero aggro. Aggro is the main problem with SS. while others can simply fly over enemies, buildings & mountains you have to run around them through huge numbers of mobs. Even acrobatics can jump over mobs unaggro'd. It's a travel power that has lots of problems traveling.
If zero aggro is OP, maybe SS has a "burst" power that is on a 15 sec cool down, that raises your speed even higher & gives you an extremely small aggro footprint for 5 sec, essentially making it so that you can't run through, or bump into a mob. That way you have to maneuver your way around enemies & stay at the burst speed to remain unaggroed.
Oh yeah, another thing SS & acrobatics really need is to NOT GET STOPPED BY OBJECTS THAT ARE 1 FOOT HIGH. that's pretty much totally broken.
I dunno.. SS needs retooling. It's largely worthless.
