I played in a hardcore band called Eras up until last year when we broke up. We went on a short tour (Sacramento, Reno, Seattle) in 2007. It was the best week of my life. We still have our songs up on Myspace if you want to look it up.
Right now, I'm focusing on acoustic guitar. Aspiring folk musician over here.
Also, my 20th birthday is on Easter this year. Bummer.

Oh, one I forgot:
I scaled Vesuvius barefoot. Why? Because I didn't really feel like going up in the sandals I was wearing.

I was in Florida, at Cape Canaveral, during the Challenger disaster. It's actually uncanny how near I've been to other disasters, either missing by some distance or an amount of time. I'm not sure if there is any significance to this or not. Perhaps I'm demon-possessed.

While swimming off a coastal Maine beach I was caught by the rip tide and swept out to sea. I trod water for over an hour and was rescued.

My 20th birthday present was I got broadsided by a drunk driver and ended up losing a large chunk of my memory from my earlier life. This was after I had gotten the money to go on a class trip to England to, so all the money after that got tied up in getting a new car and legal non-sense and me losing my trip to England :(

My job is to work on the theory of quantum computers, even though we probably won't build (large, useful) ones in our lifetimes.

Me too!
Went from 1 to 3 last year (twins).
I guess I'll share too - I'm a 'garage style' kung fu teacher, and my wife and I competed in China's 'Kung Fu Star' competition in 2009 at the Shaolin Temple. (It's the kung fu version of American Idol)
I am teaching all 3 of my kids martial arts, and my 3 year old can do a jump spinning back kick.
I'm currently trying to teach them a new found technique - Fury of the Dragon. When I'm finished I'll post it on youtube

When I was a student, I was one of the sadistic dev who created “blip blop : balls of steel”. We must have been possessed by a demon.
I met my wife in a game community forum, the same forum on which I wasted one year of my studies.
I wrote a thesis on automated spam filtering. My greatest pleasure was to be able to legitimately place a reference to the Monty Python Flying Circus beetween a long list of research papers.
