Ah, no. I'm not offended. It's just something that's bugged me since City of Heroes and the Cult of the Red Banner just really feels with the chinese ninjas and such. Thematically it grates. I liked the Dojo though. I just wish it wasn't an instanced zone. The dojo it's self is visually interesting and distinct which is important, and something I wish more areas had.
And to be honest I don't know much about Chinese dojos either. I know in Japanese dojos theres usually a shinto shrine, and pictures of the former heads of that particular school. Only thing that would make it cooler is if the trainers were dressed like monks and there were students doing synchronized drills in neat rows.
My main complaint really is the way culture is handled in the game. Which is why I mentioned Terracota Samurai instead of ancient chinese warriors in the major "zone" that would potentially be set in China.

Don't worry Tumerboy, I don't think he actually knows what he's talking about ;)
"Chinese Ninjas" and "terracota samurais" are a dead giveaway...

Tumerboy, you did a great job. You chose a japanese themed dojo with an authentic japanese martial art. Don't dilute it. If you have additional warring MA clans in later expansions or adventure packs then it might be cool to introduce chinese and korean influenced dojos to show a distinct separation.

Indeed, if the need arises, I would be happy to put representatives of other martial arts into the game. As it was, we had to create a space for ALL martial artists/boxers/street fighters, etc, and we had to pick something and run with it. We figured a Dojo would be cooler, and a little less ordinary than a boxing ring or something.

Next one should be a temple like Shaolin.
Because it's the only important one. Totally.

I spent a good 10 years researching all the various aspects of martial arts (from all cultures, Irish to African), putting in more time per day into that and training than I do currently with this game (which is a lot).
I used to provide my services as a freelance researcher for various martial arts organizations.
So anything you could need to know about in relation to MA for the game I'll either know it, know someone who knows it, or know some way to find it.
I also always list my sources, so it will never be based on my personal opinions, unless you ask for them specifically, and usually even that will based on specific sources, which I would provide. ^_^
