thanks again for the comments, it's still pretty complicated for me, but I'm getting the hang of it.
I know that survivality isn't my job and I'm meant to be a DPS machine, but I still need SOME survivability because if I die then I can't DPS. Many times in alerts I tend to get aggro probably because of my dps or the lack of a good tank, and even when blocking I tend to get killed in a matter of seconds if someone else doesn't get the aggro off me... :c

If you do a lot of Alerts, you may want to invest in +HP gear instead of CON to improve your hitpoints. The +HP bonus seems to stay constant, while the +CON bonus to HP seems to go way down.

Edit: To clarify, I mean because of the sidekicking down to level 30.

At 40 you also really don't need ultra-high superstats anymore, since energy use is better if you have these
+Cost Discount items, and 1-2% miore damage bonus do not really that much, so simply take maybe a purple
Unity defense item wit +HP and slot 2 * + 55 CON and +HP .. that will give you a nice little boost.

Of course .. main problem of most ATs will still be that they have no self heals, so if there isn't a healer
in alerts you only can use heal-patches, and they have a horible long recast timer.

yeah that's what I did, I put some con and some +HP gear, and now I have 7.8kHP instead of 5.9k which is much much better. and My damage didnt really go down much, I prefer to do a bit less of damage but to be alive, than to be a dead DPS machine XD

And what about devices? Even now that I have almost 8k hp I got practically one shoted in duels, and tend to loose quite a lot in big boss fights, like nemcon or some bosses in APs or CSs.
The other day I got hit for 7k in a duel against a unleashed, and something similar against a ff. I don't have any defenses, I mean I understand the concept of glass cannon, but there are several problems in here:
I don't have enough attack range to keep others away from me, and when they get close to me I have no way of escaping or getting them away from me. I think infernos could be so much better with either more range or more ways to keep your distance from others. :/
So I was thinking that maybe siome devices could help, but I have no idea whatsoever where to get them and which one could be useful... maybe some kind of bubble shield? You know just for those "oh ****" moments.

Heal devices can be bought at an NPC in Ren Center .. he stand beneath the tailors .. Raneki (?) the Great.
They have however 90s recast, but you should always carry some around.

Else there is Nimbus of Force, that could only be dropped at Bloodmoon from Nimbus, it gives a Group-bubble
but also has a long recast.

For duels / PvP i would say : just forget that they exist :D
