I really feel for you but like the topic states you waited pretty long there buds. I am not sure what you can do now but being on the fence about becoming a superheros is no way to start your career. ;)

Got my pre-order at 3am when my check hit the bank. I got my head start code at 3pm 12 hours later. So honestly I had a good problem free interaction with Gamestop so far.

I think what he's saying is that pre-order has been available for weeks. Why are people waiting until the day head start opens to pre-order and then complaining that they don't get everything instantly?

They wanted to try the open beta first, and this is the first pay-day since then?

Some of us have to budget in a way that puts us in this close to the wire sort of thing when it comes to entertainment things. There was a good chance depending of things paned out I would not have been able to get the game until next month. Its a budget thing try being a single income family sometime the budgeting can be vary up and down. (Luckily we are now a dual income family and hence we were able to get the game)

But as a side... I'm am not complaining personally I'm not even having any issues at all. I got my head start key already and so did my S.O. and they are at home right now playing it. *shurg*

But I didn't. I originally preordered on July 22nd. Then eventually determined that Amazon's Preorder sucked so 2 weeks ago preordered from best buy only to find out that they didn't send me my code and that by snail mail until I called customer support. :p

Good: I get the MAP, PATCH, HOLOGRAPHIC BOX, $10 CRYPTIC BUCKS

BAD: Expected Delivery - Between September 10th and September 14th

Mostly I wanted to try out the beta before commiting to the game. On the 22 of August I decided that the game had potential and purchased the preorder from Best Buy online. Sadly I didn't realize that purchasing the preorder did not in fact get you your early start code, they moved from emailing those, to snail mailing them.

Even better, you physically had to add the preorder special to your purchase of the preorder game to get your codes. Once I realized that I had not in fact added in the preorder special I had the fun of canceling and reordering the game to gain my preorder perks.

So yes... I ordered late and I'll take my share of the blame for that, but some of the retailers also found some profoundly inefficient ways of getting Early Start keys to their customers.

The only saving grace was Cryptic Customer Service and my purchase of the 6 month subscription.
