I can get everything other than power colors and veteran rewards for free.
So to me, the value of LTS is based entirely on those two things... and 300 bucks seems a bit much for that.

Lets see, assuming you hit the 8000 Q limit with the 2 F2P character slots you get free per day.

125 Q per CP

128 CP per day.

To match a lifetime sub you'd need 64000 CP just for the 16 freeform slots.

1 year and 4 months grind, just for the character slots.

And the rest comes to 109,280 CP. At the same rate we're talking another 2 years and 4 months grind.

3 years and 8 months.

Good luck with that.

Mathematically speaking, though it is a rather notable investment initially, the LTS is actually the best possible means of enjoying the game long-term.

In what world do you live in where it's anywhere near that cheap? I've never seen the rates dip below 180 in a couple weeks, and I've never seen it below 175 at all.

This really depends on how many characters you are going to play.

Actually, they were as low as 100 Q = 1 CP the first couple of weeks after the system came in place, IIRC. But yeah, I haven't seen them drop below 180 or so (maybe as low as 175 a couple of weeks back) the last couple of times I've logged.

Well, given the FF grab bag before and FF slot now, C-points are now in greater demand, so such exchange rates are expected.

With a LTS, the slots are "freeform", but you've also got to take into account the "powerhue"/tinting accessability.

I'd still keep the value of the "LTS: 14 character slots: 7,850" at their current value.

Apples and Oranges IMhO ;)

apples and oranges indeed... which is why I look at the Gold slots as FF slot value... realistically, that's the most accurate value. Look at it from this perspective:

Silver player trying to buy what is in Subscription without subscribing, they want the Free-form characters rather than just the raw character slots, so they pay out 4,000 cp each for slots, just to get the initial 8 character slots that comes with a monthly subscription through Free-form slots it will total the cost of an LTS. since 6 FF slots at 4,000 cp ($50) each is $300. This pricing value effective makes the purchase of an LTS a more desirable approach than piecemeal silver for those wishing to play Free-forms. For those who only want to play ATs then the original value of just 7,850 for 14 character slots is a more accurate assessment.

Also, I did take into account power tinting, this is a subscription perk and not a purchasable asset therefor no value can be placed upon it, in essence this feature has no baring on the value of the character slot but rather the value of subscribing over not subscribing. Thus, the price to pick for which slot to use is the one that more accurately encompasses the full extent of a character slot for a subscriber, therefore Free-form Slots.

It was at 50 for at least three weeks after launch.

Yeah, I forgot about that. Its been so long since it passed the 100 mark I had forgotten they used to be even lower than that. Still, point is I think that ChaosWolf82 is correct in pointing out that Q to CP exchange rates havent been as favorable as 125 Q per CP in a looong time. So things are even worse than bluedarky tried to point out they were a couple of posts back if you intend to grind your way into a "free" FF slot (and much less a whole LTS) through Q alone. And things are bound to get even less favorable as Q to CP exchange rates continue to rise (or drop, not sure which term is more or less favorable :p) over time.
