Dear PC & Tech team,

I couldn't find any instance of this. The closest I found were those players who can't log in with a toon. I can get logged in with this character and even play for 10-15 minutes at a time. It will then crash to desktop without error, giving the 'send a bug report to Cryptic' window.

This one toon is a Heavy Weapons character with only a couple pieces of costuming from the C-Store (the Medieval fur cloak and a couple dark armor pieces). He's level 26 but it's been doing it for several levels.

When looking at the character select screen, the hexagon that has the headshots/thumbnails of all my characters shows blank for him and when I click on it, it does display the full model on the side. I've crashed in Ren Center. I've crashed in Alerts. I've crashed inside UNTIL. I've crashed in Canada and Desert. I've crashed with and without duels nearby.

Again, just to reiterate, I do not have this problem on any other character. Each one allows me to remain in game for hours at a time.

I have:
Restarted the computer.
Repaired the client.
Uninstalled-Reinstalled the client.
Repaired the client again.

What else could be causing this that I'm overlooking? is it a problem with the character itself?

Tons of HD space
Using an XBox controller

Have you tried to change his costume ? Or create a second costume and use that ?

I have, but I think there are a few shared pieces. I'll try a blank suit and see what happens.

Tried it with the default costume. Just walking around I crashed again.

I have no idea what to think it is at this point.

Hm .. what level has that character ? If it is lower i would maybe just delete an reroll, else all you can do
is maybe write a ticket that your character seems to be corrupted and hope i can get fixed.

take a looking in your cryptic studios folder and in the /live/logs/gameclient folder there are log files like crash, error, shutdown . look near the end of the files around the time you crashed to see if there any messages that might point to a possible cause of the crashes.

My brother is now having this issue, but it is costume piece based for him. If he has anything set to glow on a costume he crashes, but only with one character. Also seems that if he SEES people with glowing parts he crashes. That means that he crashes a lot in the powerhouse or near the tailors with just the one character. This is so odd!
