this seemed so straightforward, and nobody i can find on these forums or online has this problem.

i signed up for the test server two days ago. i can play fine. pidgin itself works fine. However, when i try to use it for CO chat, it wont authorise.

i follow the steps:
1: add new account
2: set protocol to XMPP
3: use login name as username. in fact, ive tried login name, account name, account email, and every case-sensitive permutation i can think of.
4: Domain: CrypticSpace.com (assuming is case-sensitive. again, ive tried every permutation anyways.)
5: resource: character's name. tried leaving it blank. didnt help.
6: password: login password, account password, case sensitive or no, makes no difference.

whatever i enter into these fields, i get the same error every single time. "not authorised."

any ideas anyone? id love to use this feature.

Sloth hasn't had an issue herself like this, but will try to help. Try logging into your account in Champions first


Username: this is the login you use for CO. So Sloth assumes yours would be Elizinator
Domain: CrypticSpace.com
Resource: Anything you want really
Password: your login password for Champions.

Other thing to double check, Sloth isn't 100% these would help, but knows it is important, your account is up to date and running Gold Membership without error

yeah, again, ive done it all. my account name, Elizinator, is NOT what appears in the account field of the CO launcher. so apparently this account has TWO names, because Elizinator has all of my characters, up-to-date. it is also active on the test server.

weirdly, sometimes the login password on this site doesnt work. it just spontaneously doesnt work, and then, sometime later, it spontaneously does again.
