Our WOW guild came here and recreated our guild named Unseelie Court on 4/4/2011. After taking a short break of ..2 months or so, (RL stuff and all) We have returned and found our guild renamed to Unseelie Court B! .
This bothers us, if the name wasn't taken when we made the guild, we wouldn't have had the guild in the first place. But now our SG looks like a copy of the Original due to the B being added. When we try to rename it says "The name is taken". Can we please have our name back without the B?
I have submitted 2 tickets on this matter and have heard nothing on it.
Most of us are just confused why a B was added, I know this isn't important to most of you, but we had this name first!
Anyone else had a problem like this?

Well that sounds a bit odd good luck in getting your name back but I wouldn't hold your breath.

About, what, 2 or 3 months ago (more?) they put in a system where guild names must be unique (yes, believe it or not, you could make as many SGs called the same thing as you wanted). Whoever had it first got the name. Then the ones after got a B, C, etc, put after it.
The only way a GM will be able to help (if at all) is if the other SG with that name is completely inactive. And even then, they don't exactly have much in the way of power at all.

Did they contact people about this change? Was trying to find notice of it..and can find nothing. No emails,..was it a stealth change?

it was in the patch notes a few months ago. and sense the game came out in 09 there is more then a year before you got hear to make a guild named Unseelie Court and sadly that is going to be a common sg name. did you try using "The Unseelie Court" ? you could also use alt spellings ( not misspellings ) of unseelie maybe Unseily or Unsealy can work as well.
