i think the problem with having free both way conversions is that someone can let the month run out convert to silver then they would be able to get free retcons for every character, but both retrains and retcons should be cheaper IMO 500cp seems more reasonable for a game that has so much customization. im sure sales would more than double at that price.

Another idea would be for the game to "remember" the freeform build, and when the player converts to silver they simply get the assignment for w/e AT they pick (initially, which the game then "remembers" in case of any future conversions). If you switch back or forth you only get to select stuff since the last build that the game had remembered, which is then updated.

So, let's say I start as freeform and let my sub lapse. I then want to continue playing as a silver - I pick an AT which is similarly noted by the game. If the next month I resub, then it returns me to my former freeform build and allows me to purchase advantages or powers to get me up to the point I am at now, which in turn becomes the new freeform build the game has tracked...

Can you switch characters from silver to gold to silver to gold for free if you don't want to change the AT?

If the character in question remains an AT, regardless of what AT (ie swap ATs or stay the same) you can change back and forth between silver and gold indefinitely with no need of a retrain.

Silver has Stock Builds or Frameworks so if you were a Hybrid Gold and Changed to have to RETCON
if the Skills and Costumes weren't Cpd ..

As A Gold I had no problem Completely changing my Powers and mixing... As Silver i had to buy back
or would have to buy back 3 of my 4 Belt slots I had Sub'd hundreds of days and Beta Tested Powers prefect for my hero concept.
Loose many of my Unique Power combos. . So its a trade off.. Items you C-store are still unlocked to use for you and making a Nemesis look interesting. The Bank slots hit was minor. Not having access to Crafted High Capacity Bags inconvenience but easy to work around. IT is easier to re-start or change to other Cryptic Products cause you exist in the data base.. Changing things around is usually very quick after the
First account finale is on the account server.. They have improved over the years and account management is pretty good here... Though the more MMOS they have the slower response time seams..

why the flying f can't we use silver characters while gold?

Coding probably - if its an AT as a silver all you have to do is convert it to gold while gold and you have access again.

As long as it stays an AT you won't have issues going back and forth between gold and silver.

i was actually going to sub today because i wanted the resource limit removed and afew of the other perks unlocked, but reading through this im now not going to, STO is a much much better and fairer system, once you unlock everything it stays, no problems, no worries about losing anything or any other rubbish so as far as i can tell this is all just one big rubbish headache and im not even going to bother.

Think im sticking with STO where things are much simpler and they dont feel fit to punish you if you decide to go back to a silver account oh and on another note and i know ive seen it before but the resource limit is an absolute joke beyond words and the fact there is no cstore item to increase it just baffles me, all i can do is shake my head....

That's really what it feels like - it's too bad this feedback is largely ignored.
