(I didn't know if I should post here or in the older one, so I just took the newer one.)
Great story, Tyson! I like the classical style and the patriotic feel of that. Many people think that style is antiquated, but it's nice to see that it's still done.
BTW, I dont know if you have any Nemesis plans for after Crimson Tsar, but I may have something for you, since The Musketeer would probably fit with it nicely: In Germany we have a folk tale about a so called Freischütz (Freeshooter). It's a huntsman who made a pact with the devil (or a powerful demon) in exchange for seven magic bullets. Six of those bullets never miss, always hit what the shooter wants them to hit and are deadly. But the seventh one is at the disposal of the devil himself, who can do with it what he wants. Just thought you might enjoy this bit! :)

German efficiency: Even with our folklore. :D
I love stuff like that, little bits of folklore, shoutouts to culture, bits of foreign languages etc. and I always try to work some of it in my characters and stories. (Kaufmann's sniper rifle is called the KSW-8 'Freischütz' for example.)

Yes... Sorry about delaying that. I'll see if my attention can stop wandering all over the place, and get to that.
Thanks Kauffy. When dealing with a patriotic hero, that represents a nation, they aren't just your typical hero. They feel so strongly about their nation, that they seem almost idealistic, and old fashioned. Just cause something is old, doesn't mean its useless. I do have to say, this fanfic was hard to write at some points, and I did have to step away from the computer to calm down a couple of times.
Yeah... Crimson Tsar was the first Nemesis, and I like your idea. Nice folk tale. And some people think that the best folk tales come out of Japan, China or Korea. Come on... there are some nice folk tales elsewhere. And that sounds like something Mousquetaire would fight. Although I do feel like I didn't do Crimson Tsar as much justice as I could have... The endproduct should have been a communist Darth Vader...
And that's really cool. I like to work with that kinda stuff as well. And I dont mind taking mythological references either. I guess there is an advantage to being Canadian and accepting a lot of various cultures.

Just wanted everyone to know - my computer is having... issues... at present; and being that as it is, I've not been able to play much CO.
After a lot of thought I've decided I'm going to be temporarily retiring from the forums as well. It's been wonderful talking with you all and I hope my brief stewardship of the Literary Challenge has been acceptable. If someone else would like to keep it up, feel free to pick up where I've left off.
Remember: This one was #19, so the next one is #20 for real >.< Sort that out however you prefer.
Anyhow, I'm off. I plan to come back down the road, but it may be awhile depending on how long it takes to get the comp fixed < . .>

Good luck on getting your computer fixed, Mist. I haven't posted on this challenge yet because a)I'm busy farming and b)I have no idea who Tyrant could have as a friend. I may still post it in a few days (hopefully before the deadline). And nice job to all other entries as well. And great nemesis story Tyson.

Aw. Here's hoping you get it fixed soon, Mist. :/ Computer issues are never fun (I personally start to go a little stir crazy).

Aww, that is a shame. You've been doing great work Mist.
Tyson, you should continue it. I'd throw my hat in, but I'll be honest, I'm extremely lazy, and prone to miss deadlines (Hence having a story in every second challenge....)
