Corruption is the modern plague that corrupts our society, politicians, icons and even the long arm of the law. All appear to deliver what they have promised, when in reality it’s just a façade. The power lies in the hands of the highest bidder. Criminals live like kings in prison, walking out and back in as they please. Heroes are only so by name, their pockets have been deepened and they follow the orders of the ones that pay.

In an outrage, several stormed away from the corrupt scene, in pursuit of something greater, something that will get the job done. Instead of finding themselves in prison, criminals found themselves buried deep underground.

Ghost Tech and his financier Shogun- a rich industrialist by day, first started as a duo, taking care of anyone that came into their crosshairs. When the new contender was an Archer, reported for murdering innocents, yet their research said something different, he was not too different, his ideals the same. A single meeting, a fight and a couple beers; A vigilante group was born. Midnight Gears were formed, the clockwork behind the face of society.

Midnight Gears is a mature themed RP SG. Our RPs are dark and we play anti-heroes and vigilantes-imagine Watchmen but not all super heroes just a select group of ones fighting pretty much anyone that is not one of their members or officially allied.

Our themes are 18+ but we do not allow any sexual content in the posts. We are constantly in a state of RP and often get together for sessions either in CC or just somewhere random or do RPs in APs if there aren't many participants or Open Missions on a not so crowded Instance. We are new and up and coming. Most of our members are between levels 20-30 and some at 40. I had stopped recruitment for a while to weed out the inactive ones who join and then disappear. The SG allows members to have as many alts to be a part of the SG as they want.

SG chat is constantly in RP and acts as a comm link between members.
We have a separate SG OOC channel for normal chat you will need one of the channel admins to invite you or just join it by asking someone else online how to. Besides that OOC is allowed in SG chat using (()) or [[ ]].


Another element which many of our members enjoy is the RP PvP we do, that doesn't mean hero games (though some of us dive in for funsies at times). We have RP duels, one during initiation of a new member to the SG, where one of my second or third in commands call the new members to a specified location and make them spar or duel him as to test them. (We take it easy against lower levelled players even after SKing them up). Besides that sometimes we RP in random areas and have sparring sessions, or two members with some conflict between them dive into battle.

Summary and some things you should know:

------- If your character is a goody two shoes, this is not your place
------- If you want an SG to have some serious role playing with a fun strong community this is your place
------- SG chat is not where you log on and shout 'HEY ALL !!!', you connect like you would on the phone on a radio or something similar. In a proper conversation though, not over and out.
------- Join OOC chat by typing in /join_channel <channel name>, ask an online member for the name
------- We expect you to be active and RP regularly
------- Inactivity without notice for more than 10 days will result in you being kicked.
------- You are expected to join RP sessions once in a while, initiate an RP session sometime as well.
------- Our theme is dark and 18+ so we require you to be mature and at least 16 years of age.
-------Raging and rudeness will get you kicked politeness is expected
------- Be cooperative and not selfish when it comes to fellow members (outsiders accepted)

Main Character Name: Wildcard

Bio: Born and raised in Canada, he joined the military fresh out of high school. His commanding officer said he lacked "moral judgement" so he was eventually recruited by a black ops division of the Canadian government. Trained and armed he took part in various missions at "undisclosed" locations (including a Military Coup that ended rather badly) He eventually left the service of the government for greener pastures. He became an independent contractor, willing to do anything for anybody for the right price. Eventually killed one "bad" guy too many, was caught by an African dictator, tortured and left for dead. He was taken in by a french speaking missionary, she helped him back to full health. She tried to teach him the difference between right and wrong, gave him a plane ticket and a new name. She named him Wildcard (after his somewhat unpredictable nature) the name kinda stuck.

Roleplaying Experience: Roleplayed in CO with a small group a while back. Roleplayed extensively during my time playing SWG.

Main Character Name: Kuroi Taiyō (real name Johnathen Priest)

Bio: Born and raised in East end of London, his whole neighbourhood was controlled by a gang of youths who took the murder and harrassment of the locals as their daily passtime. When he turned 15 his parents were killed in front of him after not paying a downpayment for their 'protection'. Broken by the pain, he became numb to all feelings and by the time He was taken by his Uncle, he was no longer able to distinguish the difference between right and wrong. His Uncle was the owner of a Dojo that had moved to London from Japan, and decided to teach him the art of wielding a sword, after realising his talent when Priest beat up a trouble maker who had robbed his Uncle . 3 years later he was given a gift, a gauntlet which his uncle called Taiyō no ibuki (breath of the sun) which aloud him to control the power of the sun, and a change in name to Kuroi Taiyō (Black Sun). When recieving this gift Kuroi decided it was time to move on from the Dojo and his Uncle, and left taking the gauntlet with him, and chose to seek out those who had stole his life away from him.
