Silence on sidewalks (and everywhere else). Not really annoying, but sadly missed. especially on my new character that I rolled up last night, since he is a hugeantically ginormous hunk of metal that makes no sound while running.
I would dearly love for this to be fixed

Footfalls are still in the game, but as they are relatively quiet, they often cannot be heard over the music, ambient noise, powers sounds, explosions, and so forth. If you go to the Audio options and turn down the Music and Ambient sliders and turn up the Effects slider, you should hear the footfalls once again.

Thanks for all of the welcomes and greetings :)
Thanks also for the great advice. I will check out the PTS, and the Lemuria crisis was a lot better once I realized it took multiple trips with the bots. I just kept thinking I did it wrong after one trip and then I would change my approach which was actual correct in the first place.

As far as the footfalls go, thanks everyone for the suggestions, I will try to lower the volume on those settings and see if I can even things out a bit :)

So... the solution for not hearing one sound is to make it so you cant hear any of the other sounds in the game? isn't that a bit counter productive?

It's like if someone spent $100.00 to buy a $1.00 coin. which makes no sense right? and is in fact costing you more then what you get back. so in this situation... turning off 99% of the games sounds to hear 1% of the games sounds(which even then is very hard to hear) is the exact same way... you've lost more sound then you gained.

So... I'm just so confused...

It is in general that the sounds aren't that strong, hearing a step, a high jump sound, a punch sound. If they are there nice (I will try to do put them high, and everything else low), then the default values should be revised imho.

To the OP, nice review pretty objective even if we differ in some points.

I played around with the sound setting a bit today and I can hear the footfalls.
But... I have to set both ambiance and music not just to low, but to completely off, and effects completely maxed, then my speakers turned up fairly loud in order to hear them. This has the side effect of making things like gunshots be deafeningly loud :p

So I am thankful the footfalls are actually there, but unfortunately I won't be able to hear them if I want to keep enjoying the game. Not earth shattering, but it'd be nice to have the footfalls be a bit louder innate, so I could keep everything at a decent level without drowning them out entirely. It seems a shame to have decent footfalls, ones that change depending on the surface you are on, and have a lot of folks not be able to appreciate them with their sound settings at normal levels.

I love hearing footfalls in games, but I don't want to sacrifice my ambient sounds and music in order to barley hear them. So for me, the music and ambiance stays, and I shall be light as a feather as far as my feet are concerned. I hope that someday we can individually control the footstep volume, but it's all good either way.

Thanks again folks!

I have tried long and hard adjusting both audio and visual levels to get to where I could easily hear foot falls in champions without success. Yes, they are in the game on some surfaces, but as a whole they are MUCH too quite and should be looked at.
