So let's start this up. As some know I had 2 costume contests and decided that at the end of the 2nd I'd work on a group picture. Now I can go in to detail, but I'm not,for the sake of my sanity. I decided to do it by hand and in oils. So what's going on here? Well pretty much, because of my work schedule and the impending College semester starting up in 2 months. I figured I'd make this in to a little more fun, by doing a process event of some sorts. I'm going to put up the last few camera shots I have of the painting. and I'll be working on it at least 30 minutes a day and put up the shots of it's current state. Players can take a gander, give input, or just tell me how horrible it is and how horrible a person I am.

So lets start shall we?:
Here are the last few shots of where it's at. Canvas primed, people are sketched in, and the undercoat+other preparations made. Not all details are shown, i start off fairly light using dark lines to mark distinct shadow starting/end points.

This is great! I love seeing other artist's processes. Great job so far, Shadowrat! Can't wait to see more.

This looks like it's coming along great! even if I can't see myself. Wait, nevermind, I just found myself! Chisoku is totally front.

looks cool..but I couldn't seem to find my character :( maybe I'll have a better chance at finding him as he gets closer to being done with the painting.
