But seriously, It's Microsoft's problems not Cryptic's. That was said a year ago.

Xbox uses a version of the Windows OS - one customised and tailored specifically to it, but at it's root and core, it's "a version of Windows". Call it "Windows 360", if you like. Porting content, and even the entire client, between an Xbox and a PC is child's play, comparatively speaking. The resource investment is absolutely minimal, for what you get: a vastly increased potential market.

pc games: 3 mill games 2008
console games: 8,2 mill 2008
kinda shows the difference, there is a big BUT in this.
this is based on the games sold trough retail, not trough digital ways.
there is a good and a bad side on making an xbox version, which begs the question what's better.
the good side is obviously that ppl can play it on the xbox and don't need vista or anything to actually use the controller.(heard the controller works poorly on XP)
the bad side is that cryptic needs to pay a part of the bill to microsoft, for every copy sold on what ever reason, they have to pay a certain % and the game can't develop further then the controller can do.
so it's a choice, stop the production to save a ton loads of money and resources, or ask for cryptic selling more and more micro transaction stuff.
ppl are complaining about all the MT they are doing, but in the same time they expect them to continue on the xbox version.
it's one or the other, more free stuff but no xbox version or no free stuff but an xbox version.
IMO, i will not even miss the xbox version simply because i then know they don't waist there money on something only a small part uses.(consoles sell good, but MMO's are still at home on the PC)

100% of our focus is on making the current PC product the best it can be. There are no current plans for a console version of Champions.

Or has the very idea of bringing the first modern MMOG to consoles truly been killed ...? :(
