I have also had a blast playing this game so far. But that surge is starting to run out =(

Give me more, Cryptic! MORE! Your game has a great skeleton, now add some meat! MEAT, TASTY TASTY MEAT!

*edit* Wow! There I go again, first post on a fresh page. I feel like every other post I make is like this!

I was actually gun-running for profit, and I didn't need a rule set or fake mission to tell me how to do it. I just acted like a smuggler and figured out how to make a quick credit.

/sigh

I think I would have loved Eve online if I had joined early enough. Now it just seems like too steep of a curve to catch up on.
What can I say? I loved the game - so much that I even stuck it out through the whole NGE debacle until a couple months ago. Heck, I was even a Player Spotlight for pete's sake. lol

Then I discovered Rodians had like, infinite energy while playing music, so I quickly switched.

Twi'lek Dancing girl here. Tyrie. Wow...those were the days. I would dance...until I bought a battle drone to fight the neutral missions for me. Then I became a high rank pilot for the neutrals. And I was actually pretty good. My ship was decked out in the coolist of cool customizable stuff.

On the ground however, I was an information trader to the highest bidder.

Ya CO is great, but nothing will be the early years of SWG. Thing I loved the best about SWG is the completely player run economy with crafted items. Could experiment on things and really make an item your own. Had T-21 Assault rifles named "Mega Blaster", "Uber Blaster", "The Cleaner", and so on and so forth.

Still sad that game got totally wasted by that CURB/NGE, but mistakes have to be made to learn from.

CO right now is a good game though and the best thing is it has potential which few games have. Really feel that the cryptic studio devs know the potential of the game and the best thing is they are willing to listen to the subscribers to a certain degree. Listen too much you get bad bad enhancements, but listen too little and the game ends up destroying itself.

Ahhhh, SWG before NGE....

I recall getting my armor and weapons by becoming a premiere hunter of Banthas. I used to take newer players on Safari... for a price at least :)

It was even more amusing when I went overt Rebel and Empire players tried to scout me down and kill me. Never mess with a hunter on Safari.. especially one that knows how to start a bantha stampede.. hehe.

SWG was a glorious mess for the first year and half then it went down the pooper. Problem was the Devs who launched the game did not design the mechanics that ran the game and they could never get it all balanced.

I like CO too but they need to stop with the game changing over nerfs. Bring the powers down to comparable powers from other sets that are deemed 'working', don't punish players for taking the biggest explosion. It is the nature of the player base to take the gaudy powers, if you keep over nerfing the player base you will lose people unnecessarily. I don't feel like this game has a huge player base as it is, so they need to start being careful.
