Account Server Maintenance (February 5, 2010)

On Friday February 5th from 3 AM PST to 4 AM PST (11 AM to 12 PM GMT) we will be performing scheduled maintenance on the Cryptic Account system. During this time you will not be able to create or manage Cryptic accounts. Players will also be unable to login to the game. Players already in the game should not be affected. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience!

at about the time you were posting this (that folks could log in again), I dc'd while in an instance for a help a citizen mission.

now all I'm getting is "Connecting to the login server..."

No this is different. The servers just went down and there was no alert from Cryptic. The server maintenance they are talking about in this thread was early this morning.
