Cryptic PvP Event moved to PTS!

Hi everyone!

In order to help scrub the kitchen sink (http://forums.champions-online.com/showthread.php?t=99627), we're moving tomorrow's (February 5th, 2010) PvP event to the Public Test Server. The event will still be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. PST. I'll be there, as will many members of the development team. Please join us for this event, and bring your best level 40 builds. We'll be bringing ours as well.

So, it seems that before cryptic releases a patch balancing all the flavours of the month, they want to use them on their characters too!

Which is 23:00 to 01:00 GMT (Feb 5th-6th) for us non-American types.

Please go back to posting times in GMT as well as PST.

I logged onto Test servers and they was experiencing ridiculous ammounts of lag, in both MC and the Ph MC. I could not attack the dummies nor could I use my own abilities, should fix it before the event unless you guys want to use it as an excuse to stall and ultimately cancel the event =/

Allright tear me to pieces for not knowing what the hell I'm doing. I have never played on the test server. Today I logged onto it and was surprised to find characters that I created in closed beta with none of my current characters, most importantly not my lvl 40 PvP character. What the hell is this all about? Do you have to level a character on the PTS to 40? I was under the impression it was copy of your live characters that you could go fool around on the PTS with and see hwat dev's are up to? So even if I wanted to play the dev's on test, which I am pretty ****ed about not being on Live, I cant?

If this link doesn't work, go to the PTS forums and there is an FAQ thread that contains the link.Yeah just use that link, and make sure that the character you want to copy has been deleted from the test server if it's already there. That way you're character on test outside of the SG, will be exactly as he or she is on live powers, resources, gear, and all.

One nice thing is we can ALL have 40's to spec how we choose in PTS. :)

I beleive it is a Forum only title, but not sure, just what I was told.

SOOOOO glad I spent 400 G to respec my main for the event, to then have it moved to the PTS.

Great money sink (and time sink ro replace it all), very worthy of Sony Entertainment. Thanks Cryptic for yet more poor planning and last minute "change of information". Foll me twice, shame on me.

While I understand the "idea" to lure us onto PTS to test the patch of a patch of patch of the Kitchen Sink patch....

Still leaves a bitter and G-less taste in my mouth.
