Can't get my dual tech swords to glow; help!

Not sure if anyone else has encountered this, but while making a new dual blades character I've been unable to make the blade portion of the tech sword glow; I know they can because they guy next to me had his glowing merrily away in the Powerhouse :P I only get a standard color selection, no slider to make the glow effect work. For some reason when I was futzing around with claws to see if it was some kind of bug the energy claws won't give me the slider anymore either.

Does anyone know a workaround for this bug?

I think, that you cant put the glow on the start, at character creation but need to change it in tailor. Cant log in to confirm it, so you need to try it yourself. If thats the case your in.

Sadly no option at the tailor either. Perhaps it's only after the Crisis bits ... I'll find out soon enough. It's rather disheartening though.

EDIT: Nope. Still nothing. And it gets worse: the level 30 character I had glowing energy claws on now doesn't even have that option! As long as I don't actually use the tailor to change his claws he's got them, but when I go to options to see the slider it's completely missing. Argh and other comments ...

hmmmm ..... I'll try an investigate this tonight if I remember. Make sure to check out the PTS with this as well since it may have been fixed in recent PTS updates.

Just tried the PTS, still no go. Damn. Guess I need to post this in the bug forum, I was hoping someone else had encountered this and had a workaround :(

After over consuming beverages i assume this has something to do with the fact that we are getting (FINALLY) to see the weapons we customise in tailor. YAY!

Sadly I think it has more to do with my toon/account being bugged somehow, since the weapons glow apparently works for everyone else (including an old character of mine as long as I don't change him). Although seeing the weapons beforehand in the costume creator would be excellent.
