I picked up this old thread about someones views, thoughts and oppinions on MMO's.

Its an old post (2002) but, this guy hits the nail on the head, and its hillarious.

There's 3 stages in life that some people recognize as maturity.

Stage 1: Noticing that everybody is a moron

Stage 2: Realizing that you aren't any better (or me)

Stage 3: Attempting to do something about it


Sounds like your guy there just hit on revelation 1. That's fantastic. I figured it out around 13, but not everybody develops at the same speed.

I read the first paragraph and his last statement. Waste of time. I thought you play games to have fun? I know all MMOs have grinds, they have to, to keep you in. What ever happend to accomplishment or playing with others? Forums usually are full of trolls and flamebait, but is it never all of them. Seems like he is only looking at the bad rather than good. Like someone who wasn't treated/got what he wanted.

Possibly, but he has a point when I look back on a few games that were changed due to "Player" input..
