Still pretty cool. Occupies the same design space as Force > Force Eruption, a lower tier power, though. Whether or not this is useful probably depends on how good the snare is, and how far back it knocks.

Edit: Missed Seraphim. Hurray for cool support passives! I like it. :)

i think i just become sold based off one power...but then again i agree about the buffs although i think they will be small indeed

I was just informed of some inaccuracies on the page, so I've updated the power to be correct. Seraphim was the power that had the big changes made to it. Sorry about that!

Based on other examples, 'small' may mean '20 hit points at level 40'. Some of the powers they've made small tweaks to have such small tweaks I can barely tell they exist.

Im more interested in what the graphical effect of Seriphim is, if its a glowy flame type effect It might fit well with my character story and allow me to go into support stance instead of staying in balance with fire form :)

I think the AOE is pretty good. Dunno if I will take it.

As to the slotted passive, doesn't seem too useful unless it gets changed to scale healing/dimensional damage of the Celestial skills with Presence (Like it seems it should since none of the damage seem to scale with a stat so I was expecting Celestial to scale with it's Energy Form like Elemental). This might be the only build that sounds like you might need two energy forms. Seraphim for Support and Shadow Form for helping you deal more damage with the dimensional parts of the skills.

I don't think the new version is useless, providing that the analogy of

Invulnerability : Aura of Radiant Protection :: Regeneration : Seraphim

Holds true.

(Of course, Seraphim needs to affect you as well in order for this to be the case.)

So can someone explain the point of Expulse to me? Just seems to be a higher tier Force Eruption that cannot be charged, used while held or taken with a cool advantage...

Yes Quite alot of future fun to be had here.. any Issues that affected the TEst were appropriately bugged.

Fun the Theme music.. Had I know you needed to start a Toon from scratch i could have had another hours of test time logged this evening.. Splendid people Angelic Noir many others.. Look forward to the next session.

depends on how good the constant HoT is, and if it will affect you at all since it says up to 5 friendlys and you can only have max 5 in a group.

Indeed. That's what I'm currently curious about.

Now all the set needs is a block power that has a chance to heal a friendly target, perhaps with an advantage that also gives it a chance to do dimensional damage to an enemy.

I think the chance for a block is close to nil at this point, since blocks are usually Tier 1 and they're already showing Tier 2. Probably going to be one of those sets without a block.

So that makes 2 skills I need to take off spec already: Shadow Form and a block.

So much for being a set that you don't need to dip into others as was said previously.

This may have been answered before, but a Search for the word "Celestial" yields zero results. (ha!)

If you unlock the powerset in the event, does it unlock for the Account, or the character?

.....You DON'T have to. You obviously want to, to do your best to min-max for damage as well, but Celestial is and has always been touted as a SUPPORT set. We have enough damage sets, which will most likely be more powerful damage wise. Of course you have to dip into other sets, if you are going against what the set is about/trying to make a perfect build. You wouldn't go into Munitions, try to play it as a healer, and then complain about not being able to stay in one set, would you?

And about the blocks, we have blocks to cover nearly any theme/effect you need. You don't need a block that heals, because most of the time when you grab aggro, you were healing. And if you have aggro, then teammates won't NEED healing.

Last I checked, Force Explosion doesn't snare after the knockback. This basically does the knockback and then snares them while they're still away from you.

It, along with the healing aura and the healing AoE toggle (w/ advantage), would support a more passive, less targetted approach to healing.
