Yay!
Time to pick up Chainsaw and shotgun.
....hmm....alright now I have to actually make a monster hunter character, thanks a lot Daeke, with your whole inspiring me to create new characters, sheeeesh :p lol
Edit: Dang, just read the full thing. You evil evil people, do you have any idea how much of my time this is going to eat? :D lol
Man I am sooooo going to hunting those perks like a crazy person it's not even funny.
One thing I would presonally love to have some info on, and I know others would as well, is giving us some kind of idea on the levels here.
Like what kind of levels ranges are the different events are going to be so we can get organized for it. Like say do I need to do some leveling on my main? Should I not do leveling on another character so he'd be the appropriate level for another part of the event. Things like that.
Oh, and the event drops, will they *crosses fingers* not be bind on pickup? I'd love to be able to concentrate on using just a few characters for this event but being able to distribute appropriate items to appropriate chracters afterwards.
Awesome, looking forward to it.

Oh... Well that's still disappointing, I want those powers for my main... Hopefully the unlock is account-wide so I can get it with a different character and then use my main for the rest of the event.
Thankfully, CO has Sidekicking, so there shouldn't be any worries about the level of the character we're trying to get the perks with, the way there are in WoW. :)

So...reading through the possible rewards, I'm noting that to get three of the new action figures, you HAVE to participate in PVP - and apparently be pretty good at it, since you'll need to defeat 200 total players - to get three of the action figures:
The werewolf action figure is for completing both Leader of the Pack and Wolfsbane - each of which requires you to defeat 100 players.
The Takofanes toy needs the Moonstruck perk - which needs both Leader of the Pack and Wolfsbane - so, again - beat 200 players.
The Skullboy action figure just requires you to participate in the Zombie Apocalypse - which is PVP, but doesn't say you have to win to get it, just participate.
So, for those of us who don't really PVP, the only new action figure we can reasonably expect is the Zombie for completing 'In Memoriam", and maybe a Foxbat zombie if we're really, really lucky and get a rare drop?
Fantastic....just what I wanted to see....

Yeah, I got no problem with there being PVP reward action figures. What I have a bit of an issue with is this supposed to be an open event, but most of the action figure rewards require PVP...that's not too open.
Besides, since this will be an 'open even' - then I can see problems. If I decide I want to go for those action figures, I will have absolutely no problem taking my 40 and scalphunting the lowest lvl guys I can find, so that I can complete it as soon as possible. And I know I'm not the only guy who thinks that way...so I can see new players coming in for this event - getting ganked by high level players - and ending up dropping because its 'a griefing style game' sorta thing.

Yeah, you make some good points, especially with the scalphunting thing. I've been wondering about that as well.
"Tehcnically" speaking the perks are basicallly even.
Half require pve, half pvp, the last both.
Although yes, I know what anyone would prolly say :p lol There's a difference between requiring a PVE thing and PVP thing. I don't know any PVP person that is going to despise having to PVE for something, where as some people just really don't enjoy PVP.
Edit: and yeah, I officially MUST complete the takofanse thrash, cause I need that costume piece for a character of mine seeing as it fits them perfectly.

Yeah, 'technically' its even, but not on the action figures. I don't normally PVP - not that good at it, and don't really care for it too much. But I do like the action figures - so if I want them I'll do my best to get it done as quick as possible - which will mean taking out lowbies if that's possible. And I don't like the fact its actually making me think of this as an option. I don't know if they'll set lvl limits on the PVP zones. They should, just to prevent the 40's from going in and taking out a slew of lowbies. But there's a time limit here - and 400 pvp kills will take a bit of time I assume, unless you specifically have people going for the lower lvl guys.

OH yeah, I hear you, and that's a concern of mine as well.
I'm going to assume that it will count as PvP teams, and any kills made by your partners counts towards your perk count, kind of like back in the head start event, team up to get the perk counts faster, cause yeah, that many PVP kills is a bit of annoyance to me. I'd really planned to avoid PVP in CO for a good long while, until the game seemed more settled, so yeah, this whole thing will be an experience I guess :p

Although I'm becoming progressively less and less interested in Celestial with every new power posted (which is basically the previous power with a fresh coat of paint and a shiny bike bell), the Blood Moon event looks awesome.
I mean, who can say no to the "Slicemaster 2000 jetfuel powered chainsaw, particularly potent against zombies and other undead"?
Even the PvP elements are attracting me, and the way the lycanthope/zombie faux-faction aspect is done means a few weeks of gankfesting (is that a verb?) could be fun, in a perverse sort of way. Kind of like a foodfight at your grandmother's funeral - you know it's wrong, but it does shake up the status quo.
And a zombie Foxbat would be the epitome of cool.

I was wondering if the devs have considered the option of making perks for special events like this more of an account based thing. Wouldn't really matter if they give you points, just so you could have the perks listed just in your account instead of having to go through the events multiple times with characters if you want them.

Neat things like that shouldn't be exclusive PVP rewards, especially in a game where PVP is supposedly an add-on to the mainly PVE game. I may give it a try for the werewolf action figure, but it might just be easier to come to some sort of agreement with another PVEer to get these perks and just tediously kill each other for a while.

Once it hits, I'll make that deal with you - kill each other 200 times (100 each faction) and we're done...it'll be boring, but I'm sure we can get it done. Maybe schedule a time to log in, then one goes to the movies while the other one kills, then switch or something.

Why not? I pay the same monthly fees as you do, I'm just not a PvP player. If they had PvP servers I would not be on one. I'm not saying that I shouldn't have to put some effort in to acquiring them, but I should be able to acquire them through non-PvP means, by killing mobs rather than players. PvP for PvPers only.

FIX UNTARGETABLE AND UNKILLABLE ZOMBIES BEFORE THIS GOES LIVE
Sorry wanted to make sure that got seen... Otherwise looks great for the first event
I just think if those zombies propigate durring this event it will be completely ruined by them.
I also agree the PVP rewards shouldnt be just for PVP players .. I Recall a Dev saying if there was no resolution for something then they would side with PVE as I DONT PVP .. yet i would like those figures to add to my collection...
OH the reason I dont PVP is because of past experiences with POOR winners and those that like to gloat over you when you do loose. Or when I would win i would constantly get reported as a hacker or some nonsense so it lead to alot of drama i never needed.. Thust im of the opinion that pvp is for kids that got something to prove to others.. No offense to anyone at all realy that isnt all pvp players but alot of them are like that far as ive encountered.. Thus i dont like it and steer clear of it as much as i can (occasionally ill participate in it but rarely)
So yeah lets make some duplicate rewards and badges for killing pve characters that you cant earn if you did the pvp thing.. why not.

Guys, about the zombies, correct me if you've definitely experienced differently, but all the unkillable zombies that I can remember are the result of enemy summon effects, so hopefully if the event zombies are thier own entities, rather tha summoned pets, we won't have to worry about it.

Correct people are acting as if it was a bug with the zombies when instead it is a problem with the summoned zombies. If the summoner is defeated and the zombies left behind instead of despawning they just become untargetable.

Has anybody mentioned how long the event is going to run?
Says on the Blood Moon page through November 10.

Those costume peices in the screan shot, the ring with wings on the back of the head, forehead and belt, aswell as the patterns used on the tights. Will These be added to the constume creator???
I would really like to have these!!!!
The only thing I really want costume piece wise from the screen shots..is that angel belt. It would work perfectly for the character I've had in mind since learning about the Celestial power set.

Do you unlock the mask for all characters or just the one with the perk? Is the glowing wings, in the pics, a new travel power or something you could keep the look turned on? In Zombie Apocalypse when I become a zombie do I look like a zombie version of my superhero ?
I'm wondering the same thing as far as becoming a Zombie...I also wonder if when one of our heroes becomes a werewolf...will the costume remain...all be it in torn and shreded form?

Lol yes hope these zombies don't get the unkillable bonus like some of Canada's zombies (as the still move and attack doing damage even though there health is 0 and they are taking damage according to text as well). If they do say hello to the never ending zombie swarm of DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
I like never ending zombie swarm of DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Actually, I'm wondering if this is going to be a yearly Halloween event. Don't see why the Bloodmoon can't rise once a year to cause havoc. Would be a blast looking forward to this each year really.

some zombies have to be killed TWICE. Its not a bug its intentional, they regenerate once if you drop them. If you do any AoE after they fall you usually just kill them or you can target them while they are regenerating. Its only SOME zombies too, like the ones in Crisis Canada.

Ok, so I went on the test server and retconned my character to have the celestial powers. The wings aren't travel powers, it's an graphic effect of the Ascension power (increase heals and attack damage).
Which REALLY sucks. The fire wings would be great for my character. The whole concept for him had fire wings! Can you please! Please make this a costume piece or at least a travel power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p;):o:rolleyes:
