Dr Destroyers true identity!

Fist let me say I do not really know the Champions lore.So forgive me if I am reaching.




Is Foxbat really Dr Destroyer?Just some weird key things have caused me to guess.
He is in the mission Fox vs Fiend within the Factory,and without using spoilers,why else would he be there.
He is also a certified crazy villain whom has a knack for creating things.
Maybe he has split personalities harmless silly comic relief villain/homicidal destroy the city maniac.

I prob am way way off,but I just had a feeling.Anyone else think this as well?

I also saw him in after beating the final mission on the tutorial MC at the celebration. He was hiding behind the stairs and when I went over to him he just said something along the lines of "Um...Thanks again!" and then ran off. What's with that?

He's a redeemable villain? Just too crazy? In the Golden era of comics? Wacky? Balls-to-the-fourth-wall?

If defender grew up to be who he is (minus the beacons), Foxbat can not be Dr Destroyer in a direct timeline, because he'd have to be younger.

Still, I don't know jack about the Champs lore either.

You can "accidentally" free him at Stronghold, too.

I did consider this at one point, but yeah, I think Foxbat is just too young to be DD. I think there's a part of him that looks up to DD, though. Heck, I would even believe that he's trying to bring him back, or become the new one...

Dr. Destroyer is quite a bit older than Foxbat. He is in his 90s.

Should I mention the secret identity of Shadow Destroyer, which is a magic based Destroyer from another dimension. Of course in that dimension Foxbat is a hero.

in the tutorial you pick a heavy piece of rubble off him and he points you to where he dropped a limited use weapon. you rescued him, so he thanked you at the celebration :D that's what it was about :D

Really, where? I've done the Stronghold content 3 times and never seen him.
It was actually on my third time through that I noticed him. Well, I don't mean to take credit, my wife found him.

In the hot sleep area when you're trying to get keys from the captains, one of the cells is partially open and you can see a speech bubble occasionally of 'someone' yelling for help. I can't remember which side it's on, but I know it was upstairs. Anyway, you open the cell door and it's Foxbat - he runs out and thanks you in his own way and then does a smoke bomb and disappears.

Im with the other hero who assumed it was Reggie the Cat. Something just didn't add up. And both Foxbat and Reggie are in the same area. You rescue both of them technically. I found it fishy, that they were close to the same area, which meant they were no doubt working on something together.

My guess....and I do not know much about the lore is this.

Foxbat knew about DD. DD was trying to escape, and Foxbat used his technology (Minaturization Drive) to shrink DD. It went wrong, and he was turned into Reggie. Reggie was then attacked by that old women. She stole DD. We then saved ox Bat, who only showed up at our celebration to recapture DD, who was in cat form.

With the old women defeated, DD/Reggie was swiped by Fox, who is now trying to fix DD, who has not been neutered or declawed, and is barely house broken.

It's a theory I have.

The game lore says that this new DD is different to the defeated in the Battle for Detroit.

He is in different looking armour, has i think its listed as darknes and void powers that he new had b4 and isn't quite the same person.

There is some lore on this in the game around the stronghold missions. One of his followers talks about the scfary changes and that he isn't the same person.

The rest is from just knowing some of the Champions Lore.

As to the OP about it being Foxbat, Perhaps, Lore wise it is possible.

Regarding the mission in the Factory, if you read the mission text leading up to entering the Factory, you see he puts out a distress signal saying he was captured and needs help.

Or something along those lines.

No. Foxbat isn't Dr. D. He's in the robot factory because he gets caught while snooping. You can get a mission drop from the Stunt Double outside of the museum that, when taken to Dr. Silverback, gives a Star Wars-like hologram of him calling for help.
