Eight character slots? Not just "8 per server" like in other MMO's, but "8 total". That's not even enough to try HALF of the frameworks. This is crazy.

I have deleted TWO characters that were ~level 22 so I could try other characters. I'm at 8 again, which means I can't even play with the character creator.

This is killing the game for me. I can't believe there isn't SOMETHING they can do, and that they can't even be bothered to take my money for more slots.

But thank you so much for adding ANOTHER POWER SET to the game. Great. More characters I can't make and powers I can't play with.

I'd relax, but there hasn't even been a mention of this besides "eventually". What, next month? Year? As part of the first expansion pack? If it's going to be a while, I might as well suspend the account and come back when they give us the ability to buy more room so I can go back to enjoying them game.

i suggest making use of the test shard.. try out your ideas there, if you really have to

or get a second account :) its what many people did in the EU when they filled up slots on both english speaking servers :p

If you've noticed they are following the same method. 8 char slots per server and in CO there is only 1 server. :D

But yes another reason for lifetime sub.

I doubt they'll *make* us buy anything.

But I'd love the *option* to buy more slots ASAP, I've been sitting at 15 characters for a while now. I finally broke down and deleted one of my characters so I could play with the generator again.

We’ve currently set the character creation limit in beta to eight (8) characters. This is certainly not the uppermost number of character slots an account can have as we’ve designed rewards in the game that open up more character slots on an account level. In short, players will easily be able to earn more character slots just by playing.

Unlockable extra character slots should be coming. Hopefully soon. :rolleyes:

So I guess many are Ok with paying for more slots. cryptic has alrady lost my sub becasue of this. i will not be forced to pay for slots to enjoy a game that advertises customization. I would jsut like something comparable to COh. Creating characters is a part of the gameplay IMO. This is the reason I wanted to play CO. now I'm so restricted its not fun for me. So I'm quitting.


Why am I here then? Well I really like CO but I wont be harded like cattle to the store and "buy stuff" for a P2p play game. I wouldn't hesitate if it was F2p


AGain I wont be froced to pa for more slots I'm sure there are others with the same opinion.

Tell me bout I need 2 more currently to have a clean sweep of the builds and even one more very soon for the new celestial set. I'm hoping they get it together before they release Celestial so people can make one without worrying about what to delete so they can play it

Today: Deleted another lvl 15.

Created another so I could play with the fire set. Lots of fun, but now I can't play with the character creator again because I have eight chars.

Cryptic: This is killing the game for me. Like, the fun of this game IS messing around with different builds, and I have to destroy something in order to do that.

I do not give a wet slap about those ridiculous action figures. Please add char slots to the C-store so that I can give you money and stop hating you.

Sure sounds to me like you did, unless you've found a way to play the game without a subscription.

And no, they are not *making* you buy anything. You may personally feel that you have to buy more or quit, or feel that not having item XYZ from the CStore will ruin your enjoyment of the game, but that is a choice on your part and you are still not being forced to purchase anything.

Making you buy extra character slots would be one day getting an e-maiil saying "Hello, you now have two more character slots and we've charged your account $XX.XX - Have a nice day!"

its a good model. based upon their knowledge (they stated that the average person in CoX had ~18 characters) most people will have their slots full and will be wanting at least one new one when a powerset that appeals to them comes out.

That's a great thing because everytime they make a new powerset it will create an influx of cash. Which will encourage them to get started on another power set.

No. essentially they are minimizing my enjoyment of the game- which is making more Characters and tapping into some other power sets that I never had a chance to see. 8 slots is not enough. Yes lifetimers get 16 but not many people have $250 to spend.

Yes I do feel that if i have to 'get more stuff" by giving them more money for more sltos does ruin the game for me. especially if it this game is Pay to play. If it was Free to play, then I would have no problem. Simple as that.

I'm sure there are other people with the same opinion. If that is the case they left already. I don't have a sub right now however I like the creation aspect of CO And IMo that is a part f the "gameplay' I want to come back but i'm not enjoying the fact that the slots are so limited and I can't create more characters without tapping into my wallet. That is the issue with me. I just want something comparable to what COH had. Even on 1 server I could create quite a few characters. that was enough for me.
