so there are a LOT of people asking for free retcons again. some i can agree with, like the change to conflag + advantage. but the ones asking for it due to the changes to stats, that most knew were coming, i don't agree with. by and large, the most complaining about this were the ones stacking dex.

are you serious? all you did was stack dex? sorry, but you painted yourself into a corner there. i have no sympathy for you. fixing your toon for YOUR mistake should be YOUR responsibility. it also shouldn't be that hard, provided you didn't plan out the rest of your toon as poorly as the idea to just stack one stat.

I have to admit I'm kind of facinated by it. I didn't even need to use the first full retcon let alone any of the others. Oh sure I've bought back 3 - 5 items to swap them around from time to time if I don't like how something works but I've never needed a complete do over on a character.

I've only ever used a full retcon twice. One for my munitions character, when I moved him into supernatural (needed to give him some more recovery) and one for my main just so I could replace one of his powers without costing myself anything.

I've caught multiple people on the forums demanding free retcon's before the patch even went live claiming how unplayable they now were.

So now I'm leaning towards the notion people are just using any excuse to try and get a Freebie Retcon. Even if they weren't affected by the change. So I'm glad they're being stingy about passing them out until they can work in a more targeted system.

In other news, retcons are reasonably priced now. What else are you going to spend those Resources on?

No doubt - I retconned a 15th yesterday...very very cheap. I kinda felt like it was a little too cheap and easy IMHO...no real reason not to, if you get bored with a character..

Have to agree about that with people just wanting free retcons. I'm really beginning to think what devs should do is remove the extra character slots and give people 1 toon slot like they did with SWG. Sure you can have AS MANY FREE retcons as you like, but you get 1 and only 1 toon.

Right now things are pretty fair and what developers could have done is said tough crap about it not giving any way to retcon your choices.

In other news, retcons are reasonably priced now. What else are you going to spend those Resources on?

I know I had to fix something on my guy in the 30's, I didn't like his last power choice this after I had taken 2 advantages. Paying for 3 undo's was very cheap and I'm not seeing that it would be a problem unless I constantly did it. I made back the resources I spent easily before the next level.

So I really am not seeing the 'need' for all of these free retcons.
