I was wondering if the upcoming Blood Moon event will be for all levels or mainly for 40's. Most mmo's I've played usually have their events mainly for higher levels and the lower levels really don't get to do much.

That's a good question actually, as isn't stated anywhere that I've seen. I assume that its for the end game only and that's why I'm working on getting my main to 40 before it hits :) I don't want to miss any part that might be seasonal only.

I'm guessing there will be Blood Moon content in every zone past Crisis. If you want to experience it all, have alts in every level range.

It won't be a lvl 40 event. Not this close to release. They'd **** off too many people, and there's plenty of the angry mob type here already.

I would hope they'd make events for all levels. I would think the marketing dept. would insist on it.
Similar to how Warhammer Online in it's events always had stuff going on in each zone for each level range.

I agree with Kruunch. Cryptics track record for events are pretty good. If anything we should be worried about Witch Queens that give 11k exp per kill ;p

Wanna know the level and how long the event will last... AND I WANT TO KNOW THE PLAN because SPAWN CAMPING doesnt make events fun.

I got the impression from something Stormshade said yesterday that there would be something for everyone in the event. Not just high levels or PvPers.

I hope so, used to hate WOW events when most of it was for the high level characters.

Do you have to be at cap to enjoy all the bloodmoon content? Wanna fight the undead heroes so I wanna know if I will be able to do that. :)

From what they say the event takes place in sall areas of the game except Lemuria so we all have equal access to the content at whatever level we choose.

I'm definitely giving Cryptic the benefit of the doubt on this one.
First of all, I loved the Trick or Treat stuff they built in CoX for Halloween. They've got a good history making events that left no one feeling abandoned.
Secondly, as a long time PnP Champions gamer, Takofanes is really just a ridiculously awesome storyline to open up.

S/B like CoH. The content runs in all zones (except probably Crisis and Tut), so everyone can take part.
This means that many 40's will be in the lower zones doing whatever needs to be done to earn celestial power set I'm sure. Depends on what they make us do to get it.
I imagine anyone from 10-40 can participate.

That'd be my guess as well. BM is just the annual Halloween event. It'll be open to everyone who has a character in an open zone.

From what I've seen so far, a good level to start at for the Undead Heroes portion of the content is level 14. Anything lower and you may find it too hard. However, the Undead Heroes event does take place in Open Missions, so just participating a little bit, even as a low-level character, allows anyone to take part.

I hope there are some perks for participating (as long as they aren't screwed up like the head start ones).

You don't "Earn" the Celestial Power Set its a brand new Power Set to choose from when building your character or adding powers from when Leveling.

'I believe' the biggest part of the event will be in Millenium city (referencing the Bloodmoon lore stuff)
So if your character is high enough level to be THERE, they will be able to participate in the majority of the stuff offered.
I wouldnt be suprised however, if the higher level you are, the more lets say 'high level drops youll be able to grab and use later' ....

You may want to re-read some of the release notes. Celestial will be available to everyone after the event, but during the event, people can unlock it early by doing ... well ... stuff I guess.

Agreed -- a bunch of level 40 content this close to release would be largely wasted.

Probably - I could see devices and costume options being a part of it. They handed out pumpkin heads as costume options in COX for Halloween, Snowball (and rocks!) as temp powers for Christmas, and what have you.

A dev post said specifically that if you kill al the risen heroes....I belive 12 of them, that is what unlocks the celestial set early before it is released to the public.

I can see that too.....items that unlock costume pieces, devices...and I bet there will be limited edition action figures too. As far as special gear....I don't see it, not if they want to hit all levels with the event. unless their itroducing items that scale to your level at the time you get it. (but does not scale as you level up.)

Speculation is all well and good. Deake had something to say, and that should end the speculation. somehow it doesn't!

You must be one of the people who don't have a 40 or anywhere close. There is a vast sum of us who do though and to say the content would be wasted is a joke.
There is essentially no content at 40. What there is, is bugged...
