Missing shotgun sound?

I noticed today that my shotgun doesn't make sound anymore. Is this an issue anyone else is having or is it just me? Something like a corrupted or missing file maybe.

On a related note, I know it would probably be annoying but firearms are much louder in real life than in this game, I'd like to have them just a touch louder.

You are not the only bakanamatt, i missing my Shotgun Sound too. But i cant say is it a corrupt file or a OS Problem.

When does this occur? Sometimes power effects don't play if there's a lot going on graphically. Since sounds are attached to the fx if they don't play the sound won't either. If you're in the middle of a chaotic PvP fight or some epic battle, its possible this is the problem. Otherwise, the more info you can provide on how/when this is happening the better chance we can figure out what's going on.

I cant remember when this problem exact occur, but it occurs begining between the last patches. The strange is that is only affect the shotgun sound, all other weapon sounds are ok. restart of the client and self the pc dont help. No epic or huge pvp battles the sound dont play anymore. My OS is Windows Vista64 if it help to locate the problem.

I am sometimes missing my chainsaw sound. But havent been able to actually give any usefull information on when how what, so haven't filed a report yet. I mean what would I write? "Hi today for 5 minutes my chainsaw was silenced" ?
But I'll try and make notes next time it happens. Maybe its something similar to whats happeneing with the shotguns.

VIPER Weapons, argent weapons and several other "gun" style powers are missing their sounds as a side note. I thought it was my ****** soundcard.

My issue seems to have been repaired with the last patch, the one where the free respecs were handed out to everyone. I'm not sure what it was but I know mine is working now.

I have the same problem since the last patch, the one with the free retcon.
Im now always having the sparkstorm sound missing. Sometimes the effect doesnt display (no epic pvp nor lag, and it doesnt matter if im alone in a powerhouse room or in middle of desert) but the sound does never ever play.
Its do disgusting...all other powers work perfectly, but this one is making no sound effects and sometimes no displayin its animation
please help!
edit: ive read somethin about updatin realtek drivers....
well I didnt change them, game has been working fine until the last patch with all sounds ok, and im with xp 32, so disabling de x64 check is useless.....
ive tried updating the realtek drivers, and same thing! need a solution!

Often when I turn my graphics setting to the min I lose sounds like the shotgun and chainsaw. Never was sure why, then again my computer throws stuff up like this just to confuse me.

Problem solved. I had updated my audio card drivers (was a Realtek) plus lowered the FX detail level, which strangely was set up to low. So one of those things or maybe both fixes my problem. good luck all!
