For the upcoming mini-mines nerf and the already nerfed pyre I have created a new build that is great at soloing. I have reason to believe that some of the powers will probably be nerfed in the future but heh enjoy being able to own the face off anything your level.

Since the pyre is iffy now and mini mines has be shot to **** we are going to take the gauntlet chain saw power. Spend your first advantage points getting force sheath then ranking up the chain saw to rank 2 and 3 and then regeneration followed by force shield.

How to fight at lower levels (14 and lower) before you run into a pack of mobs quickly tap your block so you get force sheath on yourself, proceed to run into the pack of mobs using your energy builder as needed. Try to line them up (Which can be a hassle for people like me who unbind q and e) and let your chain saw meat their face.

At level 23 you get circle of dom which pretty much makes your unkillable while you are in the circle I.E Pull half an instance and sit in your circle while chainsawing. (This is probably going to be nerfed circle + regen scales far to well)

At level 26 you get rofl your way through the rest of the game.

Again before charging in to a pack of mobs use your force sheath however now open with flash fire which thanks to thermal reverb you now have a full end bar. Rip the faces of your enemies off.

I picked orbital cannon at 29 just because its fun and its a strong aoe, all powers 29+ are of your choosing.

***I picked fire flight for my first travel skill because I like getting as many quest as possible for the zone then flying around and doing them, fire flight allows me to alt tab and read the forums while I fly to my next destination while transportation requires that I pay attention***

***SINGLE TARGET DAMAGE*** for public quest where you absolutely need to **** all over the legendary boss throw in a fireball with your flash fire which with unstable accelerant will double your flash fire damage. Then chain saw away and hope you do not get agro. If you do block and throw down circle of dom.

***Stat priority Constitution->Endurance->Recovery*** in that order. You could careless about the other stats.

I am trying to help people solo as efficiently as possible so yeah I guess you could call it that =/

Although Rank 3 Gauntlet Chainsaw is generally more efficient in terms of DPS if you're using it from start to finish, Ripsaw and Rank 2 takes the lead if you're softening things up pre-saw, which your build seems to do later.

I have noticed my most survivable soloing builds have a CON, END or REC pair as the focused characteristics, with the third promoted via upgrades. Given the nature of those three (life, power and action) I suppose we shouldn't be terribly surprised; they are universally important regardless of character.

I debated between ripsaw and rank 3 but I end up choosing rank 3 simply because it is more flat damage. Right now a full rank 3 channeled saw does 5500 damage for me which is enough to kill henchman in seconds and villains in a full channel however master villains might take more than one channel

Rank 3 provides better static dps on legendary monsters which is where I am finding a lot of my time spent now (35+) grinding PQ so it is debatable and a personal choice however I am EXTREMELY weary of mechanics that say "increase your power when xyz conditions are met" simply put because half of the powers with that type of attribute are either broke or not functioning correctly. Plus rank 3 will serve you better in pvp if you choose to partake in that ever.

Rofl just thought I would add I just got my nem mission where you fight the electric guys and took down the super villains in 1.5 channels of the chainsaw I love this thing.

Excellent points. I primarily use it as a finisher if any tattered remnants of mobs make it through my character's Orbital Strike and Mini/Toxic/Sound Deviced Gatling Gun so Ripsaw was the way to go. For Legendaries you'd want as much constant damage as possible. PvP? Hrm, guess it depends on assault tactics.

This is presuming my maths are even correct. Rank 3 would provide 1.44 x base damage whereas Ripsaw + Rank 2 would maintain 1.2 x base for the first 70% of a given health bar and then jump to 1.92 x base (1.2 x 1.6) for the last 30%, averaging out to 1.416 x base as a final bonus. So Rank 3 is just +2.4% more damage.

However, the health pool of a villain will makes overall DPS a factor. Henchmen probably drop infinitesimally quicker with Ripsaw because the <30% point is reached earlier, but the big guns won't fall as easily thanks to the first 70% covering considerably more ground to chew through. Heh, I like pondering this stuff. :)

Seems the login servers are down hoping this will help some newer players.
